Where to go skiing in the suburbs? pmvd_info wrote in February 5th, 2014

Why cross country skiing?

The most traditional and interesting winter fun in our area is cross-country skiing. Why?

  1. Available. Cross-country skiing is the most accessible sport for everyone. You don't need to start skiing. special training, expensive equipment, instructors.
  2. Relief. In the suburbs there are no mountains, foothills, and the relative elevation changes, to be frank, are not suitable for lovers of alpine skiing.
  3. Journey. When snowboarding, skiing you are like a squirrel in a wheel rolling down the same slope. It's boring. And each ski trip is a small journey with its own discoveries and finds.

Your attention is invited to an overview of the ski slopes in the suburbs. Under the cut:

  • Krasnogorsk ski track
  • Romashkovo
  • Trekhgorka
  • Troitsk

Krasnogorsk ski track

In Krasnogorsk there is a ski stadium where various competitions are regularly held. Immediately behind the stadium, the forest begins, where a ski track is laid, suitable for both skating and skiing. classic move. The length of the ski track is 9 kilometers. There are no sharp elevation changes - smooth descents and ascents. There is a ski rental, locker rooms, and a mobile coffee shop arrives on weekends.

  • Read about the Krasnogorsk ski track.

One of the best and most famous in the Moscow region. It passes near the northern bypass of Odintsovo. Official name: Ski-roller track named after Lazutina. It is named after one of the most famous skiers in the world, a five-time Olympic champion, eleven-time world champion and a resident of the city of Odintsovo - Larisa Lazutina.

The route passes through the territory of the Podushkinsky forest. It is characterized by an abundance of rather steep slides and good infrastructure. Opened in September 2002. In summer, rollerblading, roller skiing and cycling are enjoyed here. And in winter - only skis and nothing but skis.

Romashkovo

The ski track in Romashkovo is inferior in pathos and complexity to Lazutinka, but pleases with an abundance of different routes suitable for skiers of all skill levels. There is good infrastructure here. The track is prepared by the sports club "Romashkovo". It hosts various competitions throughout the winter. Skiers are offered several circles in length from one and a half to 17 kilometers.

  • Read about the ski track in Romashkovo.
In the article you will find detailed information about the route, travel, parking, infrastructure.

Trekhgorka

The ski track in Trekhgorka is the most uncomplicated of all presented in the article. But it has two significant advantages: evening lighting and proximity to the Moscow Ring Road. The track is well suited for those wishing to combine skiing with a winter picnic. It is a good place to teach children how to cross-country ski.

  • Read about the ski track in Trekhgorka.
In the article you will find detailed information about the ski track, travel, parking, infrastructure.

Troitsk

The ski track in Troitsk is far enough from the "old" Moscow. Its condition is not as good as that of the luxurious Lazutinskaya track in Odintsovo or the ski track in Romashkovo. There are no steep hills on the Troitskaya ski track. But the track has a significant plus - here you can ride at night. The three-kilometer track is illuminated. Of the other pluses, we note the variety of circles: 1, 2, 3, 5 and 10 kilometers; ski and tubing rental; a large ice slide for children.

  • Read about the ski run in Troitsk.
In the article you will find detailed information about the ski track, travel, parking, infrastructure.

  • Don't waste your money. Don't buy expensive equipment. Even the cheapest modern skis good enough to start with. Check out the season for them, and then you will understand whether you need it or the skis will remain in the pantry. Ski rentals are available on some slopes.
  • Exists two riding styles: classic and skating. Skate style looks more spectacular, but requires better physical training. Start with classic skis. Although it is more difficult to ride “classic” correctly than “skate”, it will be easier to start with “classic”.
  • Lubricant. In order for the skis to ride well, you need to rub them with glide wax. So that the skis do not slide down when lifting, the area under the boot must be rubbed with grip wax. Each type of ointment is designed for different temperatures. More about ointments. If you don't want to bother with holding wax, buy notched skis.
  • Don't aim for "steep" tracks. Start riding on easy tracks. When you are confident to stand on skis, switch to complex ones.
  • Thermos and sandwiches. Any extra item that you take with you will interfere with you. Therefore, it is better to leave food in the car.

Where else to ride? How are the tracks? Infrastructure?

The ski track in Romashkovo pleases with an abundance of different routes suitable for skiers of all skill levels. The track is being prepared by the Romashkovo sports club. It hosts a variety of competitions throughout the winter, which can be found on the website of the sports club.

How to get there? Four kilometers from the Moscow Ring Road, exit from the ring road in the Nemchinovka area. Route .

parking located right at the entrance to the ski slope. The cost of parking is 100 rubles for the whole day. If there are no places or you feel sorry for 100 rubles, then you can park the car next to the playground. There parking is free and unguarded. Parking coordinates: 55.7343N - 37.3550E.

launch pad, as such, is missing. During the competition, the mass start is held from a different place. By the way, pay attention to the flag of the sports club. Have you noticed the famous train from Romashkovo? The only place he has wheelsets are soccer balls.

Infrastructure

Immediately at the entrance, skiers are greeted by the Saray cafe. Here you can also prepare skis - professionally smear with paraffin and holding ointment. The cost of the service is 1000 rubles.

The interior of the cafe is simple, pleasant and meets expectations, with skis from various times and other antiques standing against the wall. For those who are hungry, there is a special offer: buckwheat with stew and a glass of tea - 150 rubles. Instant coffee "3 in 1" - 30 rubles. Pies for 40 rubles. Be careful, in a pie with cabbage, which one of the authors of the article took for a test, there were fragments of eggshells. By the way, you can sit in the cafe with your own food.

Of the useful things, we note a warm women's locker room, men's and women's toilets, there is a small playground next to the parking lot.

track

The ski track in Romashkovo appeared in the 1950s. All this time the track was prepared by amateurs and various initiative groups. Since 2006, the sports club has taken patronage over the track. The track is very well prepared for both skating and classic skiers.

It is very pleasant to start your ski trip from a light birch forest. What could be sweeter and closer to the heart of a Russian person than birches in the snow?

The trails are very well marked. There are circles of one and a half, three, five, twelve, fifteen and seventeen kilometers. Each route is marked with diamonds of its own color, which is very convenient.

The sign “to the finish line 1 kilometer” immediately opens up a second wind and makes you gather all your strength for the last spurt.

On the track, in addition to the signs, there are also the names of "streets", it would be more correct to say glades. For example, Zavyalovskaya alley, named after Alexander Zavyalov - Olympic champion 1982, world champion, president of the Roller Ski Federation. Every year, a 60-kilometer survival race named after Zavyalov takes place in Romashkovo.

The slightly winding section of the track is called "Savelyevsky loops" in honor of the 1976 Olympic champion Sergei Savelyev. The world champion was directly involved in the construction of the Romashkovskaya track. His grave is located nearby, in the village cemetery.

Unlike Lazutinka, steep slopes in Romashkovo are marked with warning signs. However, there are not so many of them, compared with the track in Odintsovo. Romashkovo is rather characterized by long, smooth ascents and the same descents.

You can get to the highway in Romashkovo directly from Moscow, through the passage above the Moscow Ring Road.

You can go cross-country skiing in Moscow in almost any park - there is enough snow. But if you need a prepared ski run and ski rental, it is worth getting to one of the nearest ski lodges. Moscow region. In places like Krasnogorsk, Bitsevsky Forest, Romashkovo, you will definitely enjoy cross-country skiing. We have collected several verified addresses.

The track in Krasnogorsk can formally be divided into two parts. The first is a two-kilometer circle around the local Zorkiy stadium with perfect snow (which, in case of shortage, is brought up and rolled away). Behind the stadium there is a pond, where they also make a ski track and where beginners can learn to ride.

To get to the second, forest part of the route, you need to overcome a high and steep climb. In the forest there is a wide track with circles of 2, 5 and 7 km. Accordingly, the longest lap down to the stadium takes approximately 9 km.

Although beginners will be comfortable on a flat pond, the track is still more designed for professionals or, at least, amateurs who feel confident on the track.

In front of the stadium there is a large and free parking lot, there is a locker room with a toilet (on weekends it is open from 9 to 18), in which for 100 rubles. you can rent a locker. Around the corner - ski rental for 300 rubles. at one o'clock. Near the track there is a shop with all the equipment necessary for a skier. Of the minuses - there is no constantly working cafe: in the parking lot on weekends you can find a mobile coffee shop, hot tea is sometimes poured by the highway, but there is no need to talk about regularity.

Address: Krasnogorsk, st. Pioneer. Distance from MKAD: 6 km.

Route difficulty: 6/10.

Ski track: skate and classic.

This year, "Bitse" was cut off 10 km of the track due to construction, but the total length of the track is still decent - 14.8 km. The distance starts on the pond, and this is its only flat part, since the track almost immediately goes into the forest. The track is winding and gentle, you have to be ready to dodge often, unexpectedly collide with people from around the turn and run into small climbs. The smallest circle in Bitsa is 5 km, but since different distances constantly intersect with each other, the circle can be "designed" independently. And any length.

The ski track is part of the large Bitsa recreation area, and the infrastructure here is perhaps the best in Moscow: a huge free parking lot, comfortable changing rooms, and toilets. Right next to the track there is a tent where you can buy necessary inventory, as well as a service center where ski preparation costs around 1000-1500 rubles. In a separate house you can rent skis - the first hour costs 300 rubles, then the price drops to 100 rubles. A cafe with hot drinks and barbecue is open near the highway during the season.

Bitza is a gift for lovers of evening skiing: there are reflectors on the track, so you can ride with a headlamp even in the dark. And although the usual locker rooms are open until 6 pm, lockers in the ski rental house (the rate in all locker rooms is 50 rubles) are rented until 10 pm.

Address: MKAD, outer side, 37th km - entrance, 36th km - exit.

Route difficulty: 5/10.

Ski track: skate and classic.

It is no coincidence that skiing marathons of 30+ km are held in Romashkovo - the track boasts a lap of 17 km. There is a serious elevation change here - long plains give way to steep climbs with no less steep descents - beginners better be careful or ride somewhere else. However, the track is wide, with two tracks for the classics. Also in Romashkovo, the ski track immediately goes into the forest, there is no starting plain as such.

The infrastructure is in place - parking for the whole day costs 100 rubles, there is a cafe, changing rooms and toilets. There is a service center - skis will be prepared for about 1000 rubles. Those wishing to rent skis will have to move a little further away - 2 km from the track, inside the Moscow Ring Road, there is the Medic FCS (you can also get to it and from it along the ski track, but there is almost nowhere to park near it), where skis for rent cost 200 rubles. at one o'clock.

Address: Romashkovo village, st. Soviet. Distance from MKAD: 4 km.

Route difficulty: 8/10.

Ski track: skate and classic.

The track in the small village of Golovino is popular among professional skiers and biathletes up to the level of participants in the World Cups. They love it for its excellent preparedness (the track belongs to the SDYUSSHOR "Truth"), the absence of people and suitable terrain - the hardest ascents and descents, plus about 2 km of plain (the whole circle is 15 km). After several accidents in the summer on roller skates, it is strictly forbidden to appear on the track without a helmet - in winter the danger is less, but you still need to be careful.

Snow in Golovino appears very early - by the end of November, snow cannons begin to work. The trail is also lit 24/7. However, the track cannot be attributed to a “tourist” place in any way, so the only amenities here are a small parking lot before the start and toilets on the street.

Address: Istra district of Moscow region, Golovino village. Distance from MKAD: 66 km.

Route difficulty: 9/10.

Ski track: horse, classic.

Ski track on Planernaya (OCC "Planernaya")

The track on Planernaya is known, first of all, for its width. Located in a lowland and sheltered from the wind, the starting glade is a space of several hundred meters - at least once a year, several tens of thousands of people start from this clearing during the Moscow Ski Track (in 2017 this will happen on February 5). With the track itself, the story is the same - five people can go along it in parallel. For different competitions, different circles are made on Planernaya, but from the "regulars" - 5, 10 and 20 km. During the "Moscow ski track" a marathon of 50 km is held on the track.

The distance is varied: winding plains give way to long gentle descents and steep ascents. Beginners can always find a flat area.

The infrastructure really “comes to life” only during competitions and events that take place a couple of times a month during the season: mobile kitchens, service centers and equipment stores appear. At the usual time, the locker rooms and toilets of the local sports club Planernaya, which is open from 9 to 21, are at the service of skiers.

Address: Khimki, st. Glider. Distance from MKAD: 9 km.

Route difficulty: 7/10.

Ski track: skate and classic.

Troitsk, ski base "Lesnaya"

Troitsk is suitable primarily for family holidays - the track is mostly a plain without serious elevation changes, there is a large ice hill nearby. The ski track is quite narrow and more suitable for the classics, but if you wish, you can run up and skate. The longest lap, however, as “for adults” is 10 km. Troitsk is also suitable for those who like to ride in the dark - circles for 1 and 2 km are illuminated around the clock. True, some lights stand right in the middle of the ski track, you need to be careful.

On weekends from 11 to 20 for 150 rubles. per hour you can rent skis (for children - 100 rubles) or even tubing for an ice slide. There is a locker room and a toilet, you can warm yourself with tea near the track.

Address: Troitsk, microdistrict "B". Distance from MKAD: 20 km.

Route difficulty: 3/10.

Ski track: skate and classic.

The local track is clearly divided into two parts - this is the simplest and small flat circle (municipal and district competitions are held on it among students of secondary schools), which is perfect for beginners, and the "steep", almost "flatless" second part, on which either flying down, or climbing up. The longest lap is 5 km.

Since the track is not very popular with a wide range of skiers, the infrastructure leaves much to be desired - there is no special parking lot (although you can park along the entire track without interference), service centers or cafes. Near the highway there is a swimming pool "Azure" (on weekends it is open from 8 to 22), where there are toilets and changing rooms. On the days of the competition, many change clothes in special trailers.

Address: st. Vilis Latsis, 26.

Route difficulty: 4/10.

Sport Club"Romashkovo" settled on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Romashkovo, near football stadium, three kilometers from the Moscow Ring Road. The total length of the tracks, originating just at the stadium, is 20 kilometers, which is quite a lot, because all these kilometers must be kept in perfect order. I must say that this club is quite popular with the locals. Moreover, amateur athletes from other regions also come to it. Because the track in SC "Romashkovo" deserves the highest marks not only from amateurs, but also from professionals. The director of the club Alexander Gavrilov told the New Riga correspondent about the past, present and future of the Romashkovo sports complex.

Alexander, how did the history of SC Romashkovo begin?

If we talk about the Romashkovo sports track, then it traces its history back to the 50s of the last century. Before us, the track was prepared by enthusiasts, different generations of skiers and runners. But these were scattered groups, of course, the preparation of the route was not best quality. Therefore, the founder of the club, Ivan Kuzmin, threw a call: "Let's guys unite to bring the track in full order." By the way, I would like to say a few words about Ivan Kuzmin. This is the Honored Master of Sports, the first world champion in ski orienteering in Russia. Now he has retired from the affairs of the club, but still remains its founder. Well, our main goal today is the development of physical culture and sports, attracting children and adults to sports and an active lifestyle. We are not focused on fitness programs and an elite client, our main task is to develop mass sports for the whole family.

Kuzmin does not take any part in the life of the Romashkovo sports complex now?

On this moment, No. If we continue the story about our club, since 2006 we started cleaning the track, as they say, seriously. After all, for 8 years before us, in fact, only Kuzmin was engaged in this business. He bought a snowmobile with his own money, collected donations for fuel and repairs, and “rolled” the track.

In addition to the track, are there any premises and buildings on the territory of the sports club?

We have almost no space. Because we are located on the territory of the recreational zone of the Serebryanno-Borsky forestry. Some capital buildings simply cannot be built there.

But what about the athletes who take part in competitions? After all, they need to change clothes, it’s not in the forest to do this ...

If we have big competitions, we provide all the necessary conditions. For example, we have a tent measuring six by six meters, in winter it is heated with a heat gun, there are tables, chairs, you can change clothes and relax. Well, in some cases, we rent a change house, which our neighbors from football club. So for athletes there are no difficulties or inconveniences.

What kinds of sports are played in SC "Romashkovo"?

We have competitions and trainings in cyclic sports. It's skiing, running, Mountain bike, orienteering. There is also sledding, we are adjoined by riders on dogs. Relatively speaking, in winter we mainly ski, and in summer we run and bike.

Among cross-country skiers, marathons are very popular, there are even insane distances of 100 kilometers. Do you have something similar in your club?

We have a maximum marathon for a time - 24 hours, a daily ski race. There is a similar 24-hour bike race.

And what, athletes run all 24 hours without rest and breaks?

During the daily race, each participant has the right to rest and even sleep. But leaders and contenders for victory, of course, run without rest. It's really a huge stress. During the day, the athlete runs on skis somewhere around 360 kilometers. But this is a Russian record, there are very few athletes capable of such achievements. Well, all the other skiers wind up at distances, after all, smaller distances.

24 hours, 360 kilometers... But these are colossal loads!

We position this race not as an insane load, but as an adventure, a drive. An untrained person is unlikely to be able to run ski marathon, they will simply remove him from the race, since he will not meet the time limit with us, please - here's 24 hours for you and run as much as you want during this day, allocate your time yourself. You can even sleep seven or eight hours. There are relay teams, you can run in fours and pairs, and not just individually.

In many sports organizations To take part in the competition, you must be a member of the club. And how are you with this?

We are absolutely open to everyone. Anyone can take part in all competitions, without exception, that take place on the territory of the Romashkovo sports complex.

Which average age those who race? Are there many young people?

How do you deal with safety issues during competitions?

We have a rather busy calendar, because the sports club is open all year round. When we have major competitions, we invite the medical team, notify the police and try to ensure that security is at the highest level.

You can not ignore the financial issue. What is your club for?

This is a public organization that exists on donations, we also have a general partner - the Khlebprom company, which helps with financial resources and delicious cakes for prizes. We have an agreement with them - we promote their trademark on sports market and they help us.

How do the residents of Rublyovka feel about your sports club? Are there any problems or is everything in order?

We have mixed feelings. Most are positive. In their opinion, they seem to be gathering eccentrics, but at the same time they approve of our activities. Many participate in our competitions, some even are members of the club. Among the locals there is one very good partner who helps with prizes in competitions. But I won’t hide the fact that there are those who don’t like our work very much - the markings of the route in the forest annoy someone, the competing athletes scare others or interfere with walking. This is probably normal, because all people are very different and it is impossible to please everyone without exception.

Well, do famous athletes visit your club? Maybe one of them trains or competes in SC "Romashkovo"?

You understand, famous athletes must be specially invited. Sometimes we do it. For example, the great skiers Alexander Zavyalov and Nikolai Zimyatov have been to our competitions.

Are there no workouts at all?

If we talk about pure training, then no. But in summer and winter we have cup competitions that have the status control training. That is, an athlete arrives at any time convenient for him during the start period, chooses a distance from one and a half to 15 kilometers, starts, and we keep the timing. A child can be a member old man or Honored Master of Sports. In general, we position all our events as leisure activities on fresh air for people of all ages and skill levels.

How are you doing with equipment rentals?

The question is very relevant. To date, we do not have a rental, and it is unlikely that it will appear in the near future. The fact is that such a service is economically unprofitable in principle. More than once I observed how equipment rental was opened in some place, but after a while it was safely closed. This is possible only at the level of colossal subsidies. So everyone comes to our sports club with their own things.

Are only competitions held in SC Romashkovo? Do you have your own children's school or section?

We have good friends and partners from DYUSSH-93. There are very good coaches, there is a children's ski section, it is located one and a half kilometers from our highway. If they need our ski track, then we never refuse. Children, parents, coaches of DYuSSh-93 participate not only in our competitions, but also in subbotniks to clean the track.

How much do you have to pay for competitions or training?

Training on the romashkovskaya track is free. There are entry fees at the competitions, benefits are provided for children, the elderly and the disabled.

Why don't biathlon competitions take place in your club?

This is technically very difficult. Plus, a special permit is required. By the way, the Club has a champion of Russia in biathlon. We are now thinking in the direction of the summer triathlon. Theoretically, it is possible, but practically it is also difficult to organize. But there is a winter triathlon in our sports club.

In what mode does the track of the Romashkovo sports club operate?

24/7 for ten months of the year. We only take breaks for April and May when we close the track.

Why April and May?

You see, during this period the track is too dirty. In addition, it is during these months that we carry out the main work on the preparation of the route. There is one more thing - if we open the track in April and May, then it will immediately be spoiled by motocross motorcycles and ATVs. They annoy us all year round, but in the spring it is something terrible. Here we have prepared the route. And they drove and immediately ruined everything with their wheels. When we make remarks to them or, let's say, start to drive them away, the motorcyclists can simply tell us where we need to go. A few cross-country motorcycles with an aggressive riding style can destroy all the results of our year's work in an hour. And the more popular the Romashkovskaya track, the more acute this problem. By the way, this is a common problem for all sports tracks in Russia.

That is, the route is not guarded by anyone?

The forest and, accordingly, the route are completely open and protected only by the law on specially protected natural areas (SPNA). And nothing more.

How do you close the track for April and May if it is, as you say, open?

And we just stop cleaning the rubble, do not remove the trees, and the problem is solved by itself. By the way, trees fall all the time. The local forestry, unfortunately, practically does not work. You know that under the new legislation the number of foresters has been reduced. The forest is not cleared. By by and large, the forest is dying, its resource, of course, is huge, but sooner or later everything comes to an end. And now - any wind and trees are falling. Moreover, even a fallen tree we formally do not have the right to remove. It is necessary to call a forester, draw up an act, and then specially trained people must saw it up and take it away.

A little more about your club. What is the mass character of the competitions that are held under its auspices?

If you remember the history, then the maximum is 200 people. And this is normal, because we have a limit on the throughput of the route. A thousand people the track simply will not stand. Most mass competition in Romashkovo is a ski marathon in honor of Alexander Zavyalov, who best years brought together 400 people. And for our route it was already a very serious overload. In general, for winter season about two thousand people participate in competitions in Romashkovo. And in good for ski trips On weekends, up to 1,500 people visit the track. And this is in one day! True, this is not a competition ...

How do you see the future of SC "Romashkovo"?

We plan to develop in several directions. First of all, in organizational terms. Our club still does not have a legal entity and it needs to be created in order to be able to rent a piece of land and build something on it. The second direction is giving our track a status sports facility. This is a very hard and difficult job. And we are constantly developing sports direction, we come up with new competitions, events, tournaments. If you take a look at our calendar, no other ski club has such a busy competition schedule. Sometimes I myself wonder how we endure all this ... And in general - we want to develop a modern sports club where the younger generation could join the sport, and their parents could go in for sports and physical education, communicate and spend free time with their children.

Well, in conclusion, I want to add the following. Here we are talking, you ask questions, I answer them. But it seems to me that there is some bewilderment, misunderstanding, or something. You probably think - here is a man sitting, at first glance, quite wealthy, respectable. He has everything: a well-paid job, an apartment, a dacha, a car, and so on. And instead of spending his free time on an elite beach by the warm sea, he digs ditches in the forest and carries logs. Instead of catching a drive on ski slope in the Alps, he gets cold, lacks sleep and organizes some incomprehensible daily races. And all this for free! And it would be fine, he was one such eccentric, but there are many of them - a whole asset of the club. Why do they need it?!

Everything is very simple. Firstly, I like skiing, I like to organize good amateur competitions, I like to make a beautiful sports track, I like to receive grateful feedback from people for my work. Secondly, this is just my home track, I grew up here, our children, relatives and friends ride here. For twelve years I drove around the track, I was happy when it was well prepared and did not think about where it all comes from, only sometimes I said words of gratitude to those eccentrics who prepared this track then. And sometimes he helped them. And now these people have grown old, some no longer live.

And the understanding came that now it's my time to deal with the track and organize competitions. After all, no one will do it for me. Because it is I who live here, this is my highway, my city, my country, in the end, forgive the pathos. And in the same way, I dare to hope, my friends-teammates think. Those who with me dig, organize, freeze and lack sleep in order to create a track and competition. By the way, a similar club movement is rising in Russia. And it inspires confidence that you are doing absolutely the right thing. And the hope is warm that our efforts allow us to make our world at least a little better.

Snow in Moscow fell surprisingly early this year. But let the snow close the cycling season ahead of schedule, but open the ski season!
