How skiing in Moscow with a rental affects health

Skiing is popular in Russia - it's inexpensive and healthy, but there are rumors that skiing can be harmful. This is partly true - if you approach the issue ineptly, there is a risk of injury. But this can be said about any active sport. In fact, skiing is safer than running - it puts less stress on the joints and develops not only the legs, but also the arms, lower back, abdominal and pectoral muscles.

The main benefit of skiing is movement and fresh winter air. When skiing, the load on the body is uniform - all major muscle groups are involved. The cold winter air strengthens the body: the body is dissatisfied with the cold and begins to adapt - this is how hardening occurs and immunity increases.

Who rides a lot, he sleeps well. Physical exercise in nature - the natural enemy of insomnia. In addition, skating produces the "hormone of happiness" - dopamine. It improves mood, fights depression and strengthens nervous system. In the West there is even a term for recreational activities outdoors - landscape therapy.

Skiing is a medium-intensity cardio activity. Unlike fast run, when riding, the heart is not overloaded, but simply pumps blood in an accelerated mode. Vessels are cleared of blood clots, and oxygen easily reaches the organs - with regular classes well-being increases. To keep up with the heart, capillaries dilate, so increased arterial pressure does not threaten.

Ski rental in Moscow in 2018

The ski base at SShOR No. 1 is one of the best ski bases in Moscow with ski rental. We carefully approach health issues, so we will listen to your wishes and choose the right skis, bindings, shoes and poles. Selecting skis for height is a mistake; the main thing is weight. The heavier the skier, the stronger and stiffer the skis should be, but few people pay attention to this.

Winter is a great time for those who love active sports. You can skate all day on the ice in the open air, go down the hills on a sled or cheesecake, or you can put on skis and enjoy fresh air while riding in the park alleys. For fans of this type of holiday, this year was no exception.

With the advent of real winter 14 ski slopes with natural snow - only about 45 km - appeared on the territory of the Sokolniki park. Scheme of ski slopes.

In addition, in the new season, 2 all-weather ski slopes reopened in the park with a length of 1.5 km (750 m in one direction) and 3 km (4 lanes of 750 m for classic move). The first one runs along the 2nd Luchevoi Prosek, the second - on the 5th Luchevoi Prosek. The tracks are able to function even with the onset of a slight thaw. And all because the route was laid by equipment that is used to train professional ski slopes. The route is illuminated in the evening.

Two more all-weather ski runs will be built in the Severnoye Tushino park (300 m long) and the Olympic Village park (1 km).

In total, there will be three ski runs in the Severnoye Tushino park: the 1700 m track starts at the entrance to the park at the intersection of Svoboda and Fomicheva streets, the 1000 m track is located near the pier on the embankment and the 300 m track is located in the very center of the park. In the Druzhba park, ski tracks can be found near the football fields.

One of them, the longest - 5 km long, runs along the embankment of the Moskva River. Another - 3 km long - passes near the historical zone, near the Dyakovskiy garden and leads to the Church of the Beheading of John the Baptist. So you can admire the beauty of historical monuments with health benefits. Rental stations have been opened on Yarmarochnaya Square and in the area of the Palace of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich.

Excellent ski slopes are laid annually on the territory of the Kuzminki park. The route leads through hilly terrain. The length of each route is 2 km. For particularly steep sections, use skating. You can ride at any time of the day. Visitors will be able to feel like Olympians with the help of biathlon laser rifles.

The trails are open every day except Mondays.
The cost of ski rental: on weekdays 200 rubles per hour, on weekends - 250 rubles per hour.

On their slopes, skiers are always waiting for the Vorobyovy Gory nature reserve. On its territory, as a rule, trails for lovers of short and long distances are also laid every winter.

No less wonderful place for skiing is the picturesque Lefortovo Park. Ski tracks have been laid here for more than a year.

Numerous ski routes pass through the territory of the National Park "Elk Island".

In the north, there is another large forest park zone - Timiryazevsky park, where characteristic traces invariably appear on the snow cover every winter, indicating that skiers love this place very much.

You can go skiing in Babushkinsky Park. Ski tracks, as a rule, are laid in several places at once: in the park along Olonetsky Proyezd, in the park "at the Dzhamgarovsky Pond", Mitinsky Park and along the floodplain of the Yauza River from the street. Wide to Dezhnev Ave.

It is not the first year that ski slopes appear in Lianozovsky Park in winter. Fans of this sport are waiting for spontaneously rolled tracks about 2 km long, which pass through low slopes.

Living in Moscow, I never cease to wonder at the paradoxes of the weather. If last year it was not really possible to go skiing due to the lack of snow, then this year it was due to the low temperature of -20-25? Only on the last weekend, January pleased us with good days, which we decided to take advantage of.
Of all the places where you can ski in Moscow, we stopped at Izmailovsky Park, which is the closest to our area. There are no mountains in Izmailovsky pair, so you can only go cross-country skiing. If you want to ski from the mountains, then you need to go somewhere to Uzkoye, Kolomenskoye, etc. There are many such places in Moscow, no less than those intended for ordinary skiing.

Ski rental hours in Izmailovsky Park on weekends: from 12:00 to 22:00, and on weekdays from 14:00 to 22:00. Having reached the Partizanskaya metro station from the only exit, you need to go right across the road. Izmailovsky Park itself will already be there. At the very entrance hangs a plan of the entire park, where the objects located here are marked. Number 3 was the “Inventory rental point” (in the photo below, the red dot marks the actual location of the rental).

Logically assuming that there is a ski rental there, glad that it was not far, we moved there. But, having reached the indicated place, there was no ski base there, and there were no skiers in the area either. After walking about 5 minutes ahead, wandering around, we finally saw people skiing. And soon the ski rental itself was discovered. The ski base is located near the pond, which is marked on the plan as the Round Pond, we once rode catamarans here in the summer.

The ski rental in Izmailovsky Park turned out to be a small one-story building, in front of which, in a small shed, my grandmother gave out skis. The process of obtaining skis was not so simple. As usual, I paid money to the cashier, took skis with boots and drove off. IN Izmailovsky box office This process, in my opinion, somehow complicated.

First you need to go through the main building, where there are dressing rooms and the issuance of ski boots, exit through the opposite door to the ticket office. Here we pay for ski rental, at a rate of 100 rubles per hour, plus a deposit for one pair of skis - 1000 rubles. Passport and other documents as collateral are not accepted.

After payment, with the tickets received from the cashier, go to the main building, where you get your ski boots. Well, you get - this is ideally, but in real life my size (42) was not. Before the issuance, people crowd, some, like us, to receive, someone is already handing over shoes, and someone else has not even paid and, out of ignorance, is standing in line. We, as people, have logic, if there is a queue, then you must definitely take a place in it, just in case, and only then find out what and how.

After waiting for 15 minutes and, in the end, lying in wait for the man who handed over my size, we received the long-awaited ski boots. My friend was lucky, she has a size 37, there were no problems with the boots. Having handed over our everyday shoes to the cloakroom, having paid 10 rubles for this, we went out to get skis. Here we were lucky again - we took the last two pairs. Those who were behind us had to wait another 5 minutes until someone handed over their skis.

The area of Izmailovsky Park is 1621 hectares, so there is a place to go skiing here. True, we did not go deep into the forest, we rode around the pond. I didn’t ski for a whole year, I had to remember how it’s done at all, skating and all that. Once even fell on level ground. But skiing is like swimming, once you learn it, you will never forget it again. Muscles, of course, will quickly get tired out of habit, but you will go.

In Izmailovsky Park winter entertainment In addition to skiing, there is also an ice rink and skate rental. They are issued in the same building as the ski boots, the prices in the photo are higher. You can also ride a sled here. We wanted to, but the horse's work day ended right before our arrival.

Izmailovsky park - a good place, where you can have plenty of rest (actively relax), you can even say more - relax your soul. I liked how we spent this weekend. Sometimes you need to get out of the stone jungle, drive yourself, it’s not all the same to sit at the computer at home.

While stable frosty weather and snow are waiting in some parks, skiing has already begun in others. We tell you where you can go skiing and rent skis so as not to drag them with you through the whole city.
