Six extra rounds prevented the Russian team from interfering in the fight for medals in the women's relay at the World Cup in Hochfilzen. To compete for awards, the Russians had to shoot in much the same way as the biathletes from the Italian national team did, who became the first with three additional cartridges.
Debutante Slaughterer
At the first stage, the coaching staff put, which only this season made its debut in the main team. And in her debut relay at the World Cup, she had to become a slaughterer. From the current team, the first stage could have run, but she completely lost her form.
Pavlova coped with her task. Before the first shooting, she did not rush anywhere, stayed in the group of the strongest in fifth place, shot clean prone and went to the distance third. True, she came to the second shooting with a slight lag behind the top three and could not do without a miss.

But one extra round in the first career relay at this level is a completely normal indicator. In the final segment of the distance, Pavlova tried to keep the speed of the leaders, but in the last 500 meters she lost a little.

Nadezhda Skardino, Irina Krivko, Dinara Alimbekova and Daria Domracheva ran for the Belarusian national team in the relay. Belarusians covered the distance in 1 hour 12 minutes 3.4 seconds, using nine extra rounds on four firing lines and avoiding penalty loops. Swedish biathletes Lynn Persson, Muna Broursson, Anna Magnusson and Hanna Oeberg finished second (10.7 seconds back; 0 laps + 12 extra rounds). Today our team was represented by Nadezhda Skardino, Irina Krivko, Dinara Alimbekova and Daria Domracheva.
The race was held in the most difficult weather conditions, which the Belarusian biathletes coped with perfectly.
Nadezhda Scardino used two extra rounds and passed the baton tenth. The gap from the first place was 46 seconds, but behind her back Nadezhda left the strong teams of Germany and Ukraine.
The weather conditions did not improve, but Irina Krivko performed her stage incredibly well. She used an extra cartridge only once and moved our team to the fifth position.
Only the second time in her career she performed in relay race, and the first experience was extremely unsuccessful. However, Dinara coped well with the pressure. She left the bar first! On the last lap, Alimbekova slowed down a little, but passed the baton to Darya Domracheva in the group of leaders.
Domracheva led the race after the first shooting, but made her nervous at the second shooting, making three misses. Nevertheless, Daria coped with a difficult situation and covered the targets with additional cartridges.
