Irina Belova: “Sport brings up a strong character. Larisa Belova: “Averina has always been an example for my granddaughter School of Irina Belova

Estimate:

I sent my daughter to Darya Shkurikhina’s school exactly a year ago ... I was very sorry that I didn’t know about her before - I took my daughter for three (!) Years to another (no less famous) school. For the first 2-3 months, the results were corresponding to three years in another section! The daughter is delighted with Ekaterina Vladimirovna Bagaeva - this is the main coach! By the way, Daria Valerievna Shkurikhina herself quite often and regularly attends classes, and even more so open lessons, which is rare as far as I know ... each of the children has a special attitude - it is felt after class -when the coach several times tells everyone (both parents and children) what should not be particularly part of her work !!! in general, the impressions of Daria Shkurikhina's school are only positive and very warm !! to a very tough (in a good sense of the word) training camp in Emerald - fell in love with rhythmic gymnastics and now goes with pleasure!

Good afternoon parents! My daughter, Lisa, goes to school rhythmic gymnastics Daria Shkurykhina for the second year. We go to Indigo Life. The reviews really pissed me off!!! In general, as if not about our coaches !!! I've been to everyone open lessons and I have never seen my child or me spoken to incorrectly! Yes, Daria comes once a week for training, but she is a director, an organizer, and not a direct trainer at her school!!! Have you ever seen the director of the housing office or HOA himself sweeping the yards or mopping the floors in the houses?!?!?! Ekaterina, the main coach of our girls, is a young girl, but I have no doubts about her professionalism and good attitude towards children, it’s worth looking at how the girls sometimes hang on Dasha and Katya !!! Will children hug a coach who treats them harshly??? Yes, they are taught discipline there and that's fine !!! After all, you bring your child so that he goes in for sports, and does not sit on the priest exactly. Girls - well done!!! But about the fact that they want to profit from us, it made me laugh at all !!! Think for yourself!!! There are at most 10 people walking, and most often 6-7 in the classroom. We pay 3650 for 12 lessons (this is ideally a month), you get sick, left or even skipped classes - the classes remained, at least three months of them go!!! So count it!!! Subtract from this the cost of renting a room from Gold Fitness and learn a SPACE amount per month !!! In general, I took my daughter to a review to several different schools and settled on this one and will not go anywhere !!! Everything turns me on!!! The child has a result, she likes it here, she is not forced or coerced, as in many schools. And the attitude is great! I advise everyone here!

Yes, the deplorable state of the school for rhythmic gymnastics named after Daria Shkurikhina. We are also not satisfied with many things in terms of attitude and presentation of not only classes, but also communication with parents. It is unfortunate that the name and title sometimes do not justify hopes. And sometimes one gets the feeling that the main task of the organizer of this school is to cut down more money from the parents of children, and not to teach and educate the future generation. We go to Gold Fitness Indigo and we have a young girl Ekaterina leading us. So she is not even able to build a lesson so that the children simply obey. And because of this, there is noise and din in class. Daria herself comes very rarely, and when she comes, some children do not understand who came, what kind of aunt. Therefore, dear parents, do not be fooled by the name and regalia, this does not mean anything at all!

Hello everybody! I want to tell you about the school of the Olympic champion Daria Shkurikhina, which is based in all Gold fitness networks. My child is four years old. I was amazed how Daria treats children! Very rude! Yelling, while demanding something impossible and inappropriate for age. It seems that Daria does not know how to properly train children, find an approach to them and, most importantly, communicate with their parents! Even under the guidance of Daria Shkurikhina herself, young girls work, who, like Daria, do not know children's pedagogy and psychology at all. I was amazed when open class for parents who came to look at their kids to recharge with a positive environment, Daria Shkurikhina said that children are completely uncontrollable! She told the children that they could have tried, that the children and their parents did not understand at all where they were! I think that it is not acceptable for a coach to say such things, especially with children in an indignant tone. Why do people train children without experience and pedagogical education? You should have seen one of Daria's wards at Gold Fitness Hampton, coach Olesya, if you can call it that. According to her appearance and collective-farm communication, one can say that it will not teach anything good. My child has become disgusted with gymnastics, it is very sad that such coaches as Daria and Olesya discourage children from doing one of the most beautiful sports.

You go into the gym and involuntarily startle, these commands sound so demanding: “leg up!”, “fix it!”. Girls, like fluffs, fly around the hall. School of rhythmic gymnastics in Zavolzhye is one of the strongest in the region.

Who would have thought that the meeting with the famous gymnast, Olympic champion in rhythmic gymnastics Irina Belova would take place here, in the old coaching room of the Zavolzhsky sports house, and the third participant in our conversation would be baby Yulianna (six months ago, Irina Belova became a mother for the second time) ... But with on the other hand, it is so natural: to see our sports star in her native walls. It is impossible to believe that in this thin woman, like a reed, there is a steel spring that could lift her to such athletic heights.

- Irina Olegovna, probably everyone knows your titles of European and world champion, Olympic champion. Without exaggeration, I can say that you are the pride of not only the Volga region, but of the entire Nizhny Novgorod region. Is there an understanding of how such results were achieved today?

- Probably, my main backlog is my mother, who brought me to rhythmic gymnastics, saw the data in me and brought up an athlete in me. I never tire of thanking her. Although as a child I could not appreciate it. After kindergarten, my girlfriends played with dolls at home, and they took me to training. After all, girls are accepted into gymnastics from the age of four in order to better develop flexibility. Everything was - pain, whims, strict discipline. And if the coach is a mother, it’s probably even more difficult.

From the age of nine my first victories at regional competitions began. At one of them, my mother showed me to Natalya Borisovna Tishina, the coach Nizhny Novgorod region in rhythmic gymnastics. And now, in January 1992, in the middle school year, I was taken to the Olympic Reserve School in Nizhny Novgorod. So at the age of eleven I said goodbye to both my mother and my beloved fifth grade. I remember how they didn’t want to let me go from the 17th school, they told my mother - think, because the girl is an excellent student, what if she moves out? Now I understand what a risk it was. But athletes are determined people.

I went in for sports at the school of the Olympic reserve, and studied at a regular school. In the morning - a three-hour workout, then I run to classes, from four to seven - an evening workout. Sweets - no, no. Weight is strictly monitored. And no mother's guardianship, we saw each other only on weekends. Competitions, nerves, injuries - many go the distance. The strongest and most self-confident remain. Do not feel sorry for yourself, work hard, have a strong character - these are the components of the success of any athlete.

- Irina Olegovna, but remember the feeling that you experienced at the Olympics in Sydney 14 years ago, when you were wearing Olympic medal. In the photo on the Internet, you are so excited and happy. And you're only 20 years old!

It's a feeling that cannot be expressed. This is the award to which the athlete goes all his life. Naturally, there was joy. There are no weak opponents at the Olympics. Almost on a par with us were Belarusian athletes. Greek and Spanish women had strong positions. Performances in a team are always a risk that you will let others down. Coaches of the Russian national team in rhythmic gymnastics Valentina Alekseevna Ivanitskaya from Moscow and Tatyana Alekseevna Vasilyeva from Penza, my personal coach Natalya Borisovna Tishina did everything possible so that we approached the competition in the optimal physical form to boost our morale. And after the victory, we did not sleep for two days, we walked around Sydney, fascinated by this city. Although I, of course, had a chance to visit many countries.

- What do athletes find themselves in after completing professional career? For example, how was the fate of your team members?

“Today we live our own lives. But, of course, we follow - even from afar - each other's successes. Vera Shimanskaya is now a professional golfer. This sport is only developing in our country. Irina Veselova-Zilber is President of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation in her native Yekaterinburg. Elena Shalamova and Maria Netesova do gymnastics in Moscow. The youngest member of the national team, Natalya Lavrova from Penza, died in a car accident a few years ago.

- With what feeling did you watch the recent Olympics? And what conclusions did you draw for yourself?

- Athletes are a special brotherhood, like, say, artists or journalists. We, like all Russians, were literally riveted to the screen, but we judged some things from completely different positions than ordinary viewers. Of course, we enthusiastically accepted the triumph of our team. Russian athletes did everything possible, went, as they say, to the limit! But there are offensive fourth places, for example, in cross-country skiing and biathlon, let the hockey team down… But let's look at it from the other side. The Olympics is an occasion for those in power to think about what sports should be developed. The principle is quite simple: there are no prizes, which means that little attention is paid to this sport in the country.

— Irina Olegovna, today you teach at the Olympic Reserve School in Nizhny Novgorod. How do you assess the development of rhythmic gymnastics in the Trans-Volga region as a coach?

- Girls for training are recruited from the region, different cities of Russia. I can proudly say that Zavolzhye trains some of the strongest gymnasts for our educational institution. Real enthusiasts of their work, rhythmic gymnastics coaches in the Zavolzhsky FOK - my mother Larisa Viktorovna Belova and her colleague Lidia Viktorovna Voronina - brought up a galaxy of wonderful Zavolzhsky gymnasts. Masters of Sports Lyubov Grishkova, Tatyana Mukhina, Irina Nedbaylo, prize-winner of international competitions Igba Betty, European champion Olga Raspopina, Natalya Vlasova, world champion Natalya Pichushkina... They all started here as babies. For nine years, my sisters Dina and Arina Averina trained with my mother. Today they train in Moscow under the guidance of the famous rhythmic gymnastics coach Irina Viner. At the recent Cup of Russia, the girls were among the winners. There are high hopes for them. My mother also teaches my daughter Kristina Telyatnikova. Today she is recognized as one of the best gymnasts in the region at her age.

— Honorary citizen of the Trans-Volga region, how do you assess the development of the sports facilities in your hometown?

— You know, it’s a bit of a shame for a young city that has raised three Olympic champions. It is great that construction of a new building will begin in Gorodets sports complex. But ... In the Volga region over the past 20 years, not a single sports facility, except ice palace. Today it is a Zavolzhye brand! Athletes come here even from Nizhny Novgorod. Sports should be supported, developed, and sponsors should be sought. The Sports House needs technical reconstruction. I watch with bitterness how gymnast girls, like 20 years ago, drag heavy carpet tracks themselves to lay them out before training. You only have to dream of your own gym, like in the school of the Olympic reserve.

- There is an opinion that a promising athlete without financial support in big sport no road.

- I don't agree at all! Communicating in sports circles, you never cease to be amazed at how much courage and willpower the athletes have. Sport brings up a strong character. And talented and stubborn people notice! Here and at mother's section girls from simple families are engaged. There are no dads among them - “owners of factories, newspapers, steamships” ... How many talented athletes in the region made their own way! For example, Andrei Gogolev, a pupil of the orphanage, became the world boxing champion. Another thing is that sports require large financial investments. And I do not get tired of thanking the parents of our pupils with their mother, who bear so many expenses! And participation in competitions, and sewing costumes, and preparing compositions - now everything is at your own expense, which means that you have to limit yourself in some way. But believe me - the sport is worth it!

- Irina Olegovna, you personify the ideal of a woman - who has taken place in a sports career and as a mother raising two daughters. Everything was rosy personal life?

— You know, over time, you understand more and more that much depends not on you, but is given from above. My mother is from the Gaginsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region. A deeply religious person, she instilled this in me from childhood. I got married right after the 2000 Olympics. But the rest of my life with my Christina's father did not work out, we parted. Probably, it was predetermined this way… Now is a new page in my life. I dedicate my maternity leave to my daughters. It's such a joy to see girls grow up.

At the end of our meeting, we sincerely congratulated Irina Belova on the beautiful women's holiday on March 8 and handed over small souvenirs from the "Gorodets Herald".

REFERENCE

Athletes that Zavolzhye is proud of:
Irina Belova - four-time European champion and two-time champion world, Olympic champion in Sydney in 2000 (in group exercises);
Olga Domuladzhanova - world boxing champion;
Natalya Pichushkina is a multiple European and world champion in rhythmic gymnastics.

Nizhny Novgorod gymnast, Olympic champion in 2000 Irina Belova completed seven years ago sports career. Today, the Honored Master of Sports is coaching the youth team of Russia and is preparing a replacement for the main team of the national team. I. Belova told the correspondent of RIA Vremya N about how she assesses the prospects for Russian gymnastics in general and Nizhny Novgorod gymnasts in particular.

Irina, after the triumph at the main four-year Games in Australia, many thought that you would remain in the national team. What happened?

I'm just tired - from endless training, camps and trips. It was already 2001, a whole galaxy of young talented gymnasts appeared. I really dreamed about the rest, which, no doubt, I deserved. Immediately after the Olympics in Sydney, the coaches of the national team asked me to “work out” for another European Championship, after which I left completely, and I don’t regret my decision at all. Everything has its time.

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at individual exercises? If you recall, the two-time Olympic champion Elena Posevina began her career in the single program.

No, I am a “group worker” and can only work in a team, so I never thought about changing the ampoule. After all, there is absolutely miscellaneous work, therefore, I won’t undertake to say in what form of the program it is more difficult to perform. In individual exercises, you are alone on the mat, and all the judges look only at the athlete, but in group exercises you can “hide” somewhere, become invisible. But at the same time, if you lost an item or did not complete an element, you are responsible to the whole team. This is a huge responsibility.

- When did you decide to become a coach?

My husband was a football player (Ivan Telyatnikov - player of the Russian youth team and ex-defender of the Uren "Energetik" - author's note), I traveled a lot around the country with him, so I had time to coaching did not have. But in 2003, I nevertheless took a step, came to my native UOR No. 1 and took a group of young gymnasts. And so it turned out...

- Who can you single out among your pupils?

While it is difficult to make a choice, the athletes are very young. Now I am in my third year of study, these are 6-8 year old girls. At the school Olympic reserve we have several groups with which we travel to various training camps and competitions. Ten days in the city and the same number on the road. In the future, we will only dream of the house ...

IN last years many titled gymnasts, having completed their careers, prefer other areas of activity than working as a coach. What do you think about it?

Of course, the material aspect plays an important role: if you do not have an education, if you do not have your pupils, then it is quite difficult to start from scratch. Really talented trainers sometimes come to us, but due to low wages at the first stage they are forced to move to commercial firms. That is life.

How can you comment on the change in the composition of the Russian team before the 2004 Games? The team, in which Nina Lazareva from Nizhny Novgorod played, won the 2003 World Championship ...

I agree that it was a risky move on the part of the coaching staff. But at the same time, there were too many good individualists in the national team, and since only two can go to the Olympics, it was decided that the rest would try in the group. Vera Sesina, by the way, could also get into group exercises, but the coaches decided otherwise. They thought that she would succeed, but Vera stumbled twice at the Games. And it turned out that Posevina, who moved to the group, is already a two-time Olympic champion, but Sesina is not.

- You were an honored guest at the Athens Olympics.

Of course, I was also worried about my team, I was nervous, but only from the podium. When we performed ourselves, we didn’t see anything but the carpet in the gym, and we didn’t need to. We remembered about Olympic Village just after his performance. There were many artists in the capital of Greece, we rested every day. In general, it seemed that in the village no one sleeps either at night or during the day. I saw the performances of the Dynamite group, talked with Dima Bilan, who already then behaved very arrogantly.

Marriages between gymnasts and football players continued the trend in the post-Soviet space. You, having married a football player, became a fan of sports No. 1?

I never really liked football, but I saw international matches and cheered for our guys. Especially on last championship Europe, where the Russian team won bronze medals. I don’t know why it happens that alliances are made between representatives of these two sports. As for me, we, the gymnasts, constantly met with the players at the training camp in Moscow and Novogorsk. There was no one else, so here, as they say, without options.

In the old days, it was hard to imagine that two Nizhny Novgorod residents would enter the main team of Russia - the competition is too strong, and there are a lot of sports schools in the country. How could this happen?

Of course, this is the merit of our school, within the walls of which athletes spend a lot of time. And also Natalia Tishina: she spends a lot of time at the base in Novogorsk, gives advice to coaches, helps gymnasts. From my point of view, Elena Posevina can survive the third Olympics, she has a “technique”, ideal weight. Now Anastasia Maksimova has entered the first team, she has good chances to get to the London Olympics.

- Not so long ago, at the international tournament in Spain, the Russian team took an unusual 4th place. What's happened?

I can tell that there has been a change. Olympic champions were supposed to go, but they all ended their careers. And in two months, the coaches did not have time to prepare the second team. Therefore, they sent abroad ... gymnasts from St. Petersburg. There were only four teams, so judge the result yourself.

- Soon the International Rhythmic Gymnastics Center will open its doors in Nizhny Novgorod.

It's still in the design stage, but Summer Olympics 2012 will indeed be ready. It is planned to hold major international competitions including the World Cup. At present, we refuse to hold Russian tournaments in Nizhny Novgorod for only one reason - from January to May we are preparing the World Cup stage, it takes a lot of time and effort.

- And where is it more difficult to perform - at home or away?

I would say that I am at home. Despite the huge support of the native stands, you have more responsibility.

- A few words about the diet. Is it true that lately gymnasts have begun to lean on food, or is this a myth?

Well, absolutely without food, of course, it is impossible. The main thing is self-control. Some of the gymnasts calculate calories, someone tries to withstand grams, someone after a plentiful table sits in a bathhouse in order to lose weight, and someone has breakfast and lunch, but does not have dinner. I think it all depends on the person himself. Sometimes you really want to eat, especially on Saturdays, but on Sunday you have to go without food. Excess weight- a direct road from the national team.

Gymnasts are often plagued by various injuries. A case is memorable when, due to an oversight by Russian doctors, Laysan Utyasheva was forced to train on broken legs for six months ... Only a more thorough examination in Germany revealed the true reason. How often does this happen in big sports?

The case with Utyasheva, unfortunately, is not an isolated one. I think that a lot here depends on the coach, on the methods of training athletes. Of course, you can not discount the gymnast herself, here, as they say, for good luck. It also happens that the girl’s back is initially crooked, she still endures the European Championship, and then something has to be done ...

- Your daughter Kristina is five years old - the very age to bring to the gymnastic carpet ...

She already goes to the gym with me and with her mother, but, unfortunately, we don’t have time to fully deal with her - we can’t even force her to do exercises: either I leave for a training camp, or my mother. The situation is similar with the kindergarten - sometimes we go to Nizhny Novgorod with our daughter, sometimes we go to the Trans-Volga region. I can’t think far ahead - maybe in the future Christina will change the sport, who knows ...

Have you tried your hand as sports commentator, actress, presenter? Yana Batyrshina successfully works on television, and Svetlana Khorkina made her debut on the theater stage ...

No, it's not mine. If you engage in several activities seriously, then you will “get out” of rhythmic gymnastics. After all, it is simply impossible to do everything at the same time. As for Batyrshina, I believe that she found her destiny after the end of her sports career.

You are currently the coach of the Russian youth team. How many Nizhny Novgorod are part of the second most important team?

Daria Tikhomirova and Olga Raspopina. In total, we looked at more than 50 gymnasts, but chose only seven. Previously, Karina Khairetdinova from Nizhny Novgorod was also in the squad, but due to back problems she was forced to end her career. Next year we have a lot international tournaments so we work tirelessly. In particular, Azerbaijan will host the European Championship.

- What are your plans for the future?

I want to raise Olympic champions.

Full name of the gymnast

Since 2000, pupils of the Nizhny Novgorod rhythmic gymnastics school, performing in group exercises, regularly win gold medals at the Olympics. The new Olympic four-year period promises to break the stereotype. Dina and Arina Averina took on leading roles in individual program! Larisa Belova, coach of the Nizhny Novgorod Region national team, honored coach of Russia, who is the first mentor of the Averin sisters, and also the mother of Olympic champion Sydney Irina Belova, tells how the twin sisters broke the tradition and who is replacing our Olympic champions.

Sisters of Averina - a special case

- Larisa Viktorovna, Nizhny Novgorod rhythmic gymnastics has traditionally supplied group players to the Russian national team. How did it happen that Dina and Arina Averina succeeded in individual exercises so much that they became leaders among Russian "artists"?

- Dina and Arina came to study at the age of four. We worked in Zavolzhye for nine years before they went to Moscow. Usually promising young people continue to train at the Olympic reserve school, but this was a special case. The head coach of the Nizhny Novgorod Region team, Natalya Borisovna Tishina, I remember, said: “Larisa Viktorovna, you are used to working with them individually, but in order to continue such work, I have to leave everyone else. Therefore, send the sisters to Moscow "...

Kristina Telyatnikova (third from left) made her debut at the European Championships in May

By that time, Dina and Arina were winners and prize-winners of the national championship and had already entered the Russian team. You can’t just transfer the “collectors” to another coach - such issues are resolved Main coach Russian national team Irina Aleksandrovna Viner. Then the girls and I were invited for the first time to a training camp in Croatia (just Dina and Arina were 13 years old). After that, I gave Dina and Arina to coach Vera Nikolaevna Shatalina.

Such loads are not for everyone.

- Recently, the Averina sisters have collected a whole collection of awards at the European Championships. Do you think these victories will not turn the heads of 18-year-old girls?

- No no. They themselves are very modest. Real hard workers, such children probably do not exist now. With them, we spent two workouts in the gym every day, and it happened when the girls didn’t succeed, we went out to the third one, which I could schedule at ten o’clock in the evening! Now I have a lot of children involved: if they are offered the same loads that Dina and Arina had, they will immediately faint and not get up (smiles.) And the Averina sisters did all this and never complained. Plus, they are so neat - they have everything laid out on the shelves.

- Can the next Olympic cycle be called the four years of the Averin sisters in rhythmic gymnastics?

- Before the Olympics in Rio, Irina Alexandrovna Viner told them: "The next Olympic cycle will be yours." I hope so, but I'm afraid to say so. Before my eyes is the example of another Nizhny Novgorod Natalya Pichushkina, who at first worked in a personal program, including with Natalya Borisovna Tishina. Then Natasha was transferred to group exercises. It so happened that literally six months before the Olympics, Pichushkina suffered a knee injury and did not go to the 2012 Games in London ...

In professional sports, it is difficult to predict in advance how an athlete's career will turn out. I hope that one of the sisters, who will be stronger, will fall into Olympic team. But frankly, I would like them to go to Olympic Games together - they deserve it with their attitude.

Irina and Christina have a different character

- You mentioned your granddaughter Kristina Telyatnikova, who also excelled at the European Championships, only in group exercises. Looks like she's following in her mom's footsteps?

- Until recently, Kristina competed in individual competitions, was the silver medalist of the Russian championship, took second place at the Hopes of Russia, and third at the Young Gymnast. Therefore, when a year and a half before the start of the European Championship 2017, the coaches of the national team began to recruit a junior team for group exercises, taking into account personal results, they invited her to the training camp.

Whether my granddaughter will continue to perform in group exercises is an open question. Russian team, made up of gymnasts born in 2002 and 2003, at the European Championships in Budapest showed good results. But masters in group exercises begin to work at the age of 15-16, and for the next year and a half, Christina will have to return to work in a personal program.

- In your opinion, does Christina resemble Irina in her manner of speaking?

- External similarity, of course, is, the genes are also transferred. However, I think they are different in nature. Ira began to study ballet and came to gymnastics at the age of five. Christina, at the age of two, tossed clubs, and at three she threw them to her great-grandmother (my mother) - she caught. The baby spent all the time in the hall and performed at her first competitions at the age of three years and four months!
