triple Olympic champion In biathlon, Anfisa Reztsova criticized the decision of the coaching staff of the Russian national team to include Svetlana Sleptsova and Uliana Kaisheva in the main national team.

- Akimova and Slivko got into the squad quite justifiably. At recent control starts, they performed well, being among the leaders. I am embarrassed by the presence of other names in the team, - Reztsova is quoted as saying "Moscow Region Today". - A few weeks ago, I talked with the president of the RBU Alexander Kravtsov, who assured me that the team will be recruited exclusively on a sports basis. But after the end of the selection, it became clear that all this remained only in words.

- What do you have in mind?

- Svetlana Sleptsova, who has not competed at the international level for a long time, got into the national team. The coaches also took Uliana Kaisheva, although she also did not show anything special at the control starts. But Daria Virolainen was unhooked from the squad. It turns out that the principles sports selection only touched her.

- Sleptsova was included in the team by the decision of the coaching council. Why is the leadership of the national team standing up for her so much?

- As I understand it, Sveta is promoted not by the coaching council, but by individuals. Apparently, it contributed to its inclusion in the composition new mentor women's team Valery Medvedtsev, who trained Sleptsova in Krasnoyarsk. Behind the promotion of Kaisheva, apparently, is Main coach team Alexander Kasperovich ... As long as such dishonesty on the part of individuals continues, the mess in our biathlon will not end.

- You mentioned your daughter Daria Virolainen. Apparently, the decision to expel her from the team seriously hurt.

“It's not about personal grievances. I know Valera Medvedtsev as a strong athlete. Apparently, he is also a good coach, because in his native Krasnoyarsk he managed to create a bright team. Dasha went through the entire pre-season training under his guidance and was satisfied. However, with his decision after the selection, Medvedtsev crossed out all the good that was. My daughter is now asking me: "How is it, mom? Who can you trust now?"

- Does she take her excommunication from the national team hard?

Anfisa Reztsova: biography

Anfisa Reztsova, a Soviet and Russian biathlete and cross-country skier, has many titles to her credit. In addition to official sports awards, the unofficial title of biathlon queen is assigned to the athlete, since she is the first Olympic champion in this sport. Reztsova is also the only Olympic gold medalist in the world in two different winter activities sports.

Childhood and youth

Anfisa Anatolyevna was born in December 1964 in a large family of a builder and a postman. In addition to their daughter, Anatoly Mikhailovich and Nina Pavlovna Romanov raised three sons. They planned to name their daughter Vera. However, the mother liked the name of the woman who served in the church where the girl was baptized. So the daughter returned from christening with Anfisa.

At the age of 7, Anfisa moved from the village of Yakimets to Vladimir. There she went to a regular high school and at the same time to a gymnastics school. But soon the coaches advised the girl to do cyclic species sports. And from the fifth grade, skiing entered Reztsova's life.

After the first classes with an enthusiastic teacher, seven people remained in a group of 25, including Anfisa. Although the girl understood that the first coach did not see prospects in her, she continued to train with enviable persistence, despite the health problems that were soon revealed.

At one of the regional competitions, Anfisa was noticed by a coach from Dynamo. So the girl got to the all-Union level. The victory at the national championship brought the future champion to the junior team. Studying at school faded into the background, but after it Reztsova was going to enter a law school. The coach of an already adult women's team dissuaded her from a career as a lawyer, arguing that great prospects open up for Anfisa in sports.

Biathlon

Anfisa Reztsova did not start her sports biography at all in biathlon. Having just graduated from school, Reztsova won two bronze medals at her first world junior championship in cross-country skiing. At the next championship, she repeated her success, and in 1983 in Finland, the skier won the first world title.

In 1985, Reztsova was included in the national team of the Soviet Union, in which she quickly occupies a leading position. In the same year she received the gold medal of the world champion in the relay. From the 1987 world championship, held in Germany, Anfisa brought gold for winning the relay and two silver medals for distances of 5 and 20 km.

At the first Olympics in Calgary at Reztsova - Golden medal in relay races and silver in the crown "twenty". The skier considered her own performance unsuccessful, as she hoped to take the highest award. Perhaps the fact that in preparation for the Games the athlete did not fully recover from the disease played a role. And intensive training at the qualifiers led to problems with her leg: Anfisa ran on injections.

At the end of the Olympic season, Reztsova went on maternity leave, but returned after only 8 months. Then there was a conflict, which in the press is diplomatically referred to as inconsistencies with the coaching staff. But Anfisa Anatolyevna sports world knows how direct, sometimes harsh person. Thanks to her candid interviews, fans are aware of many behind-the-scenes events.

During the absence of Reztsova, new faces have come forward in the team -,. And each with its own ambitions. The girls were not happy about Anfisa's return. The team's coach Alexander Grushin failed to extinguish the fire, and the titled skier decided to completely leave the sport and plunge into family worries. Her husband Leonid, who by that time had completed sports career, and his former coach.

hallmark Incisor in biathlon was a combination of poor shooting and good running. To achieve a result, it was enough for Anfisa to hit at least half of the targets, the athlete more than made up for the gap in the distance run.

In this sport, already in the second season of performances, the biathlete held the Big crystal globe according to the results of offsets in the World Cup. The same award went to the athlete in the 1992-1993 season, after 7 personal victories and 5 prizes.

Anfisa trained for the 1992 Olympics in the men's biathlon team of the Council of Trade Unions under the guidance of her husband. Then she moved to the country's men's biathlon team, agreed to endure the appropriate loads and, according to the coach, plowed in such a way that everyone was amazed. As a result, Reztsova won a gold medal and the title of the first in history Winter Games biathlon champions. Bronze in the relay was added to them, as well as silver from the subsequent World Championships.

Later, the coaching staff decided to focus on skiing, paying less attention to shooting, which was already Reztsova's weak point. The erroneous decision was revealed in subsequent competitions, the results of which tended to zero. At the 1994-1995 World Cup season, Anfisa failed all personal performances and only once climbed the podium for a bronze medal in the relay.

At the Olympics in Norway individual races also ended in failure, but Reztsova still won the gold medal in the relay. But the stormy celebration of this victory was the reason for the exclusion of the multiple champion from the national team.

Anfisa used this time to good use: she gave birth to a child and graduated from the Academy of Physical Education. In 1996, she tried to return to biathlon, however, according to the athlete, she was offered to get into the national team not at all on a sports basis. Then the biathlete changed her role, turning again to skiing.

The ambitious athlete planned to go to the next Olympics, in Nagano, but the Federation directly refused the skier. In justification, the head coach of the national team said that the non-inclusion of Reztsova was due to her low results in shooting and constant violations of the regime. However, in the "new old" sport, Anfisa received another medal of the highest standard at the World Championships in Austria.

The skier swung at the 2002 Olympics, but two years before the Games, she and her husband suffered from hepatitis and decided that “going into the same river five times is extreme.”

Personal life

Anfisa Reztsova is the mother of four children, which is considered a feat for a former athlete, and she gave birth to her fourth daughter Masha at the age of 44, already being a grandmother. The head of the family, Leonid Reztsov - former athlete and coach of his own wife, runs a family business - a sporting goods store in Moscow. The family lives in Khimki near Moscow and adheres to a non-public lifestyle: interviews and photos are circulated on the Web, for the most part, Anfisa and Daria's daughter.

The couple got married in 1985 and waited three years for their first child. When they finally found out about the happy event, they had to sacrifice a child for the sake of the Olympics.

Reztsova does not hide the fact that for the sake of sports victories, the eldest daughter had to make similar concessions. Dasha, like her sister Christina, is engaged in biathlon. According to Anfisa Anatolyevna, the eldest daughter was not taken to the national team for a long time, remembering the harsh nature of her mother and her habit of telling the truth, despite the regalia and the situation.

So, the athlete was one of the first to admit to using doping when she tried to return to biathlon after a break, and sees no reason to hide it.

The champion, by her own admission, has no friends, except perhaps. Reztsova from childhood communicated more with the boys, and in female friendship does not believe. Anfisa Anatolyevna from 2011 to 2015 headed the Biathlon Federation of the Moscow Region.

Anfisa Reztsova now

In January 2018, Anfisa Reztsova’s words that she was “neither cold nor hot” from an apology to Russian athletes, not admitted to the Olympics in Korea. The well-known athlete believes that sports officials are also obliged to personally apologize to the athletes.

The Olympic champion implements an active life position as chairman of the Control Commission of the Council of Deputies of the Khimki city district. In the same city, there is a children's and youth biathlon school named after the athlete.

Anton Shipulin, who has retired, is already stocking up on popcorn. On Thursday and Friday there will be sprint races for men and women, pursuit races are scheduled for Saturday, and relay races on Sunday. The Russian men's team included Alexander Loginov, Matvey Eliseev, Evgeny Garanichev, Dmitry Malyshko (by the decision of the coaching staff), Maxim Tsvetkov and Semyon Suchilov. Irina Starykh, Ekaterina Yurlova-Perkht, Evgenia Pavlova, Margarita Vasilyeva, Svetlana Mironova and Valeria Vasnetsova are declared for the women's sprint. Larisa Kuklina will be able to compete only in the relay.

Before the start of the fourth stage, the correspondent of "Sport Day by Day" talked with two-time Olympic champion Anfisa Reztsova. We ended the conversation with the topic of RUSADA, and started, as expected, with Anton Shipulin. Still, not every Russian biathlete left so loudly.

- Anton Shipulin retired. How long do you think he will sit idle?

I think he will go into politics.

- In politics?

As a rule, all the great athletes in our country go into politics. To the State Duma and so on.

- Do you see Shipulin's ability to politics?

No. But I think that he will make such an offer. Although I would like Shipulin to train like everyone else Olympic champions who completed sports careers. But, as a rule, they go into politics.

Do you see Anton as a TV commentator? Together with Dmitry Guberniev, they will comment on biathlon on Match TV.

- (Thinking.) I still believe that Anton will choose a public career. I was surprised that he announced his retirement so late. Even though I finished six months ago. It seems so to me. Probably, someone suggested to him: "Let's not today, but a little later."

- In your opinion, the Shipulin family provided strong influence for his choice?

Anton is a self-sufficient person. Responsible for himself. I don't think anyone influenced him. Neither mom and dad, Anton's ardent fans, nor his wife.

- Who is our main star now? Alexander Loginov?

I don't know who the main star is. Now it is necessary to run in the youth. Sasha has proven himself well. and God forbid that he remains among the leaders until the next Olympics.

- Is Loginov ready to become the same leader as Shipulin was?

Maybe. If he is not pulled with this doping.

Johannes Be said about Loginov: "If you are caught doping, you will not return the old respect." Is it fair to say so?

Who is Johannes?

- One of the leading Norwegian biathletes.

And let him be in his team, and we must fight for our athletes.

- Alexander Tikhonov wished Loginov not to repeat Shipulin's mistakes...

Sasha Loginov will train and prove that he is one of the strongest biathletes. As for leadership, I can't say. There is no such concept. There is the strongest today, tomorrow it may be different. And what Tikhonov said… Anton made one mistake for me.

- What?

He betrayed the athletes who didn't make it to the Olympics. Shipulin did not fight for them, for himself, for the truth.

How was he supposed to do it?

I had to find a lawyer and prove my case. Anton refused to fight (the IOC did not invite Shipulin and a number of other well-known Russian athletes to the Olympics in Pyeongchang. - "Sport Day by Day").

Let's get back to those who continue to speak. Dmitry Malyshko got to the stage in Oberhof by the decision of the coaching staff. Do you think he deserved it?

It was better to take a young athlete for a run-in. We now have all the biathletes can both get into the top ten and take 50th place. Both Malyshko and Maxim Tsvetkov, who returned to the World Cup. Because there is no right choice.

This season, the selection of the SBR was called the most fair. Before the first stage of the World Cup, they held test races, and based on their results, they formed the line-up.

Agree. By the first stage there was an honest selection, and then everything became as before. I want to shove mine, I will shove it.

- Who are you referring to?

I'm not referring to anyone. It just happens that whoever wants whom, he takes it. IN women's team same problem. It will be good if they perform decently at the World Cup stages, hitting the top ten, but I doubt it.

Relay races will take place on Sunday. Evgeny Garanichev should be returned to the team race? His results are not bad, but everyone knows regular failures in relay races.

We do not have stable relay racers, so Zhenya, maybe, should start. Now it is difficult to judge who is ready for what. We will see this in the sprint and pursuit.

A WADA delegation came to Moscow again to collect the unfortunate doping samples. Can biathletes be affected by the uncertain situation with RUSADA? They say that Russian sport may close altogether.

Shipulin ended an inglorious career.
Infamous precisely by its end. The throwing and lamentations of the “little boy who was taken away from the candy”, in his own words on the Match TV channel on the day of the final press conference, are over. This year there was a massive generational change in biathlon, the stars and superstars of this sport left. Frenchwoman Marie Dorin Habert was seen off with champagne at the finish line in the spring, several older athletes from the USA, the Czech Republic, the famous Norwegian Emil Hegle Svendsen, and, of course, the most stellar pair of world biathlon Daria Domracheva and Bjoerndalen left. More than worthy care of the most worthy athletes and for the same reasons: family, children, age. Now we see the happy Daria and Ole Einar with their family, giving calm interviews, for which the sport has naturally faded into the background. Watching this, there is no feeling of “mourning” that we will not see them now on the track, because everything is very natural and correct. And today this is literally a reference care from big sport. Returning to Anton Shipulin, I frankly feel sorry for him, but not as an athlete, but as a person. At 31, he remained a little boy in the Russian "biathlon family" (this is already from Guberniev). But the reasons why he left, they are not at all close to being typical of all of the above, and the most terrible and shameful thing is that they turned out to be insurmountable for Shipulin as a participant, and thanks to biathlon commentators and state television channels sponsoring them, who became the main representative of the "biathlon families". After all, after what, in his words, did he finally give up? When, at the World Cup stage in Austria, the police came to the location of the team, where Shipulin, who was not participating at the time, came with a notice of an investigation into Russian biathletes about their use of doping at the last Biathlon World Championships in Austria in 2017. That is, at first Shipulin received, according to his own statements, a strong psychological blow as a result of being suspended from the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics, and now this. And so he says that after that he sat in the room for three days, lay and thought. But what was he thinking? His wife supported his desire to continue his career, the coaches favored him, personal coach didn’t quit, solved heart problems, that’s all from his interview this year. And yet, after reflection, he says something that he had not said before: "the sport has become very dirty." The fact that Shipulin lasted the longest of our Sochi 2014 Olympic biathletes leaves a chance and hope for his doping purity. Immediately after the Olympics, Zaitseva and Vilukhina literally disappeared, then another “unexpected” end of the career of Yevgeny Ustyugov, against whom a doping investigation is currently open. And Shipulin, perhaps, was able to remain “clean”, because he could count on his own forces, it’s not for nothing that he is the most titled biathlete both in the days of the Russian Federation and during the performances of athletes from the USSR. But, now he realized that he would still not be able to remain unsullied in this team, and, despite his hypothetical “purity”, his career was also broken by doping and participation in a hitherto unseen in sports PR company “to cover the team”, deployed on the state sports channels of the Russian Federation as a "modest commentator" of biathlon. Now it becomes clear that Dmitry Guberniev came to biathlon in the Era of Great Doping, that is, when it was necessary to prepare the team for the Sochi-2014 Games, during the sponsorship of this sport by Prokhorov, and had simply incredible powers. He could advise the coaches on the air to determine the compositions for the race, he could give hard-hitting assessments to the athletes in case of failures and immediately call the coaches to account. And in the case of successful performances, he directly compared their foreign rivals to the ground. Long before the Crimea-2014, sanctions and hybrid hot and cold wars, he began a confrontation with the West in the person of Wolfgang Pichler, coach of the Russian women's biathlon team. IN live allowed insulting remarks addressed to him, and then asked for an interview, and kept looking into his eyes, “well, how did I make you?”. Even then, he behaved like a true "polite little man." Together with Prokhorov, he fired the coach on the air. Especially Guberniev turned out to be "needed" by the team now, in Austria. Such a wave was raised to "protect our team from the Austrian police", which was followed by statements from the representative International Union Biathletes - "Guberniev negatively affects Russian and world biathlon", and commentators of the Russian-language pan-European sports channel - "no detentions Russian biathletes police and their removal from the competition was not planned and not undertaken. The hype was too much." So what has the Match TV commentator Dmitry Guberniev been doing and doing all this time? Promotes biathlon, creates beautiful sports show, increases the rating of the channel? No. He creates a noise screen to cover the state program of doping in the sport of the Russian Federation. The words of the classic come to mind: “By deepening it, / I killed hope at the rear.” That is, how often it happens in such cases, where they wanted to hide more, on the contrary, they highlighted it brighter. Doping scandals in biathlon may be no less than other sports, especially winter ones, because of the Sochi Olympics, but here they are the loudest. So the departure of Anton Shipulin turned out in the spirit of a biathlon show. Reflections, monthly pauses, health problems, then their absence. And all this against the backdrop of interviews, special reports. A person who gets into this team does not belong to this system. He lives with care. And they call it “team fighter”, “the team has always been the main thing for him”, etc. And after the press conference, comments were heard: “Anton did it on emotions”, “he left early, he still had to stay”. Of course, on emotions, there is no other way to get away from you. And from Guberniev short: "Thank you for everything."
Fortunately, the recent hype in Austria has not affected the current recruits of our team. And why should they care, if doping is now, most likely, not already, they passed the selection according to the sports principle, for once. Yes, and the coach in the team is again the same, once fired on the air. Therefore, they have nothing to fear, even Guberniev.

ON THE SKIING THE ADVANTAGE OF THE COMPETITORS IS TENSIBLE

“In the first two stages of the World Cup, Russian biathletes generally show stable shooting and a fairly even move,” Anfisa Reztsova said in an interview with Team Russia. - It gives a certain satisfaction. But in the course of how we lost, we lose. And if it were the minimum... Unfortunately, the competitors' advantage on the track is still tangible, and each miss immediately sharply discards ours in the final protocol.

- As in the case of Ekaterina Yurlova-Perkht, who made four misses in the pursuit on Saturday and fell back from third place after the sprint to 20th position?

– But look how many misses the winner Kaisa Mäkäräinen has. Three! In a contact race, when everyone is close, you can fight with three misses. And Dorothea Wierer has four unsuccessful shots. However, the Italian only moved from first place to third. Our move is not working. This means that insufficient work has been done, and this is probably a question that should be addressed to coaches who control physical training. So far, our team has not found what needs to be changed so that the results on the track come closer to those of the rivals.

- Maybe it is worth attracting clean skiers?

- Offered her services many times. I am ready to periodically come to the team for free for the preparatory period and, perhaps, for the period of rolling into the season. Men have their own specifics, and I could tell girls or even show in practice what should be corrected. But, apparently, for someone I am inconvenient, someone does not like me. So far, the team is not particularly praiseworthy. Which year we mark time.

Two-time Olympic champion in biathlon, Olympic champion in cross-country skiing Anfisa Reztsova in an interview explains why Daria Domracheva did the right thing by ending her sports career, talks about why she does not have high hopes for the new coaching staff of the Russian national team, and also shares her impressions of the World Cup.

- In the quiet off-season, biathlon fans were excited by the announcement of Darya Domracheva about the end of her sports career. Is the Belarusian champion in a hurry to hang up her rifle?

– I am very glad that Domracheva came to such a decision. Because sport is sport, and family is family. Yes, the support of a spouse at work is great, but constant moving for a little daughter is not very good. I understand that Daria and her husband Ole Einar Bjoerndalen did not immediately come to such a decision: they probably thought for a long time, weighed all the pros and cons. It is clear that it is a pity to throw the whole thing. Daria managed to do everything in her sports career: she is a multiple Olympic champion and world champion. Family, of course, is more important. When people are not next to each other, some omissions, some kind of misunderstanding begin. I believe that they made the right decision, and now Daria will always be with her family.

- You once managed to successfully combine both a sports career and family life ...

- Let's not compare - everyone has their own career. It happened to me like this. At first I did not have children, then God began to give them to me, but I was able to combine everything. But at that time everything was much more complicated for us: we were not allowed to take relatives and friends to the training camp. Everything is freer now. And, of course, it is easier for athletes when relatives are nearby. She has one situation, I have another. My example, probably, cannot be given at all: I am the only one like this: I gave birth to four children, and three Olympic gold took. I support Dasha, because the most important thing for a woman is women's happiness. And this happiness is a friendly family. Balancing career and family life is hard work. Now Domracheva has completed her career, everything will be very good for her. She is a healthy girl, and gives birth to three or four more. Will her departure be a big loss for the sport? Of course it's a loss. But everything has its time, and everything must be done in time. And she has now chosen the most opportune moment: Domracheva ends her career beautifully, on a high note.

- Summer for biathletes is the time of training. Today our team is working under the guidance of a new coaching staff. What steps do you expect in the work of new mentors?

– Special changes in better side until I noticed. Much is dishonest and unfair. They chose the board of the RBU - it included a lot of people who have nothing to do with sports at all. Athletes in the national team are not entirely selected by rating. I'm not sure that under the current head of the RRF there will be serious changes for the better. It's my personal opinion. When Alexander Kravtsov came to power, I told him that Anatoly Khovantsev and Valery Polkhovsky should be returned to the team. But in the end, no one returned Khovantsev. Now, perhaps, he is already a little late with his technique. But let's hope it doesn't get worse. But he disappointed me after our conversation. I asked him: “Anatoly Nikolaevich, you are always for a fair selection. Kristina Reztsova is closer to the first team than Anastasia Morozova. Nevertheless, Morozova is in the main team, and Reztsova is in the reserve. He spoke for a long time, and could not say anything intelligible. Polkhovsky was not taken - Drachev does not like him. Someone whispers to Drachev. They are absolutely wrong: Valery Nikolaevich, I think, would help the team. Noritsyn was put to work with the main team - we'll see. In principle, as a reserve coach, he worked well. There, Uliana Kaisheva, Kristina Reztsova, and other athletes are satisfied with the work with him. For me, the most important thing is to be fair. And, unfortunately, she is not. Because they didn’t take some young boys into the main team, they decided to keep them in the reserve. And then when it is already under thirty, they will say that they are already old. Now, when they are 22-23, they should be taken as the basis. Let now somewhere they lose to the first team, but in four years they will grow and get stronger. Well, what is the main composition? We have him in the thirty international ranking two or three people enter! We need to change everything, there is no need to be afraid. These young "half-baked" guys would now gain strength and then look just as good as the leaders. It's a shame, of course, but I always tell myself: don't interfere - you won't prove anything anyway. Again, there Alexander Ivanovich Tikhonov whispers a lot to Drachev. It is not normal.

- But Tikhonov says that he has retired from work in the Russian biathlon? ..

- How did you leave? He's constantly chirping in there. Now the autumn championship will begin - he will always be somewhere near the team. He won't go anywhere. Incorrigible person. I told him directly at the Russian Championship in Khanty-Mansiysk: “Alexander Ivanovich, don’t interfere already! Your methods and tips have become obsolete!” But no, a person sees only himself and no one else.

- Your daughters Daria Virolainen and Kristina Reztsova, what do they say about work at the training camp?

- So far, only Christina is at the training camp. At the same time, according to the rating, she goes to the first squad, but for some reason she was taken to the reserve. This is not at all clear to me either. No one can explain this to me: neither Vladimir Drachev nor Anatoly Khovantsev. Well, Dasha - her sores popped up - she is now being treated. Probably from seasonal stress, from nerves and worries. Therefore, she is not at the training camp this month. Christina, on the other hand, trains calmly, does not argue with anyone, does not climb on the rampage. I don't know what will happen next. Nothing. Let her prepare and prove that she is the best. Even in the reserve team.

– The biggest sporting event of the year is the World Cup in Russia. Do you follow his ups and downs?

- Honestly? Not really. My grandson plays football. His idol is Cristiano Ronaldo. Together we watched the match between the national teams of Portugal and Iran. I didn't really like the game: the team from Iran looked very worthy. Of course, in such a situation, it's a shame that you didn't make the playoffs. I also watched ours in the match with Uruguay. Do not know what to say. After victories over two outsiders, our team was lifted to the skies. And the opponent became stronger - they sat down. That's all. I doubt that they will be able to show something in the game with the Spaniards. But I'm not here to judge. And maybe, maybe! .. Let's see. In general, I don't like football. Because this is a lot of money, and the game of our players most often does not correspond to this. In comparison with them, we are for the same gold Olympic medals we get pennies. And one more thing: the World Cup is a major sports tournament, the organization of which is expensive, these are huge expenses. It worries me that then it will hit the pockets of ordinary people.
