Appleby Horse Fair

Every year since 1981, the Pferd & Jagd exhibition has been held in the German city of Hannover, which is considered the largest exposition in Europe, combining three major areas at once: equestrianism, hunting and fishing. One of the largest German and European horse shows has been held annually in winter in the capital of Germany, Berlin, for 23 years. In addition to the standard exhibition-sale, the organizers offer to visit five venues where show jumping, western, dressage competitions are held; as well as horse breeding, theatrical performances, veterinary seminars and educational lectures.

In 2013, the number of exhibitors increased to 185 companies from five countries, the number of visitors exceeded 20,000.

CHI Al Shaqab

For nine days, the Essen exhibition complex is bustling with life, the schedule of events in several showrooms and one main arena is scheduled to the minute, and in the evening, spectators are treated to a first-class horse show, and this alone is worth coming to EQUITANA.

    For the first time in our country, a joint project is being implemented, in which the largest equestrian club participates European level and professional organizers of horse shows.     Over three days, more than 500 horses of domestic and foreign breeds will take part in pedigree broods and shows, as well as in international show jumping competitions.     Specialists from Holland, Italy, USA, Belgium, Argentina, Qatar will hold seminars and master classes, and will take part in judging championships.

    Every day in the Grand Arena you can see a show parade of horses of various breeds, including Andalusian, Friesian, Norwegian fjords and others. The real highlight will be the performance of the smallest horse in Russia - the American miniature stallion Gulliver (height at the withers 45 cm, weight 7 kg) and the largest horse of our country - Shira Dzhedaya (height 197 cm and weighing more than 1 ton).

    The first day of the exhibition will open with a litter of the Terek horse breed, which has almost disappeared in our time. Further, the program will be devoted to non-Olympic equestrian disciplines. Leonid Shevchenko will give a driving master class, he will demonstrate the legendary Russian troika and different types European harnesses. As part of the Horse Sense project, Uliana Yakovleva and her charming tinker mare Cinderella will present “10 commandments of feeling for a horse. The Russian national vaulting team will show demonstration performances. At the end of the performances, everyone will be able to try to sit on a real vaulting horse.

    The program of the first day will be completed by the exciting show program "Western VS Classic", which will clearly demonstrate the difference in the methods of training horses in the Western style and in show jumping, putting the master of sports in the Western saddle international class in show jumping by Vladimir Beletsky under the guidance of the director of the sports western school Natalya Anokhin.

    The program of the second day will begin with a master class in classical dressage by the famous Belgian coach Helen Arianoff, a student of the legendary Portuguese coach Nuno Oliveira. Further, the arena will be provided to the participants of the breed championships. Participants of the horse festival will appear before the audience heavy breeds: Soviet, Russian and Vladimir heavy trucks, as well as foreign giants - English Shires, Belgian Brabançons and French Percherons.     In the afternoon, as part of the 15th Russian Championship, thoroughbreds will enter the arena Arabian horses.     Visitors have an extensive educational program.
