Competition regulations
This big winter sports festival is usually held on the second weekend of February. The date of the "Ski Tracks of Russia" in 2019 is February 9. In 2018, competitions will be held in more than 70 regions of our country. Moreover, almost everywhere this event will begin at the same time. The only exception will be competitions in the Far East. They will start earlier than others due to different time zones.
In order to participate in this race, you must pre-register. Those who are going to show up for the Moscow start of "Ski Tracks of Russia" can use the online registration. To do this, you just need to decide on the age category. Athletes in the category of children, juniors (under 17), as well as men and women (from 18 and older) take part in this race. Each group of athletes must overcome different distance: children - 2 km, boys and girls - 5 km, adults - 10 km.
To participate in this sports competition also need to provide:
- passport or birth certificate;
- medical insurance policy;
- medical certificate from a general practitioner.
Participants over 18 years of age may be limited to a personal signature confirming responsibility for their health.
Where will the race take place?
As mentioned above, this race takes place in more than 70 regions of Russia. This annual festival of mass sports takes place in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tolyatti, Smolensk, Perm, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Krasnoyarsk, Voronezh and many other Russian cities. The only exceptions are only the southern regions (Sochi, Krasnodar, Crimea, Novorossiysk), in which winter sports competitions interfere with unfavorable climatic conditions.
The most massive competitions are usually observed in Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Perm and Samara. The number of participants in these cities can reach tens of thousands of ski lovers. In general, due to the wide geography of the competition, Ski Track of Russia-2018 should gather about 1.5 million participants.
TASS, 10 February. All-Russian mass race "Ski Track of Russia" will be held on Saturday in 73 regions of the country. For the first time, the main start of the race will be hosted by the State Memorial and Natural Reserve "Museum-Estate of Leo Tolstoy" Yasnaya Polyana "in the Tula region.
The most massive ski race will be held for the 36th time, this year more than 1.5 million people are expected to participate. Most mass competitions will be held in Bashkortostan, Mordovia, Tatarstan, Krasnoyarsk Territory, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Saratov, Sverdlovsk, Tver and Chelyabinsk regions, as well as in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
More than 20,000 people will start the race in Moscow, the launch pads are located in 11 city districts. In addition, an additional platform for participants with disabilities will be opened in the Eastern District. Competitions at distances of 500 and 1000 m will be held on specially prepared tracks in Izmailovsky Park.
Like last year, the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Pavel Kolobkov will start. "We will have a full day of sports activities. We have been hosting this event since 1982, it has a very rich history. The number of participants per last years has grown many times over, more than 70 regions are consistently participating," the minister said.
Expressed a desire to take part in the "Ski Track of Russia" and Olympic champion Nikita Kryukov. As part of the event, it is planned to deploy information centers for the Ready for Labor and Defense sports and recreation complex (RRP), as well as the implementation of cross-country skiing standards among the population.
More than 23,000 people will take part in the race in the Moscow region. Start near Moscow stage will pass Saturday in Khimki sports center"Glider". The length of the route will be 10 km. The oldest participant in the race is 92 years old, he has never missed the Ski Track of Russia.
Ski track on the historical route
In the Tula region, the All-Russian mass ski race was first held in 2007; since 2016, the territory of the Yasnaya Polyana estate museum has become its venue. The route "Ski Tracks of Russia" was developed in such a way as to cover as many historical objects as possible and at the same time not interfere with the excursion work of the museum-estate.
"The depth of snow on the territory of Yasnaya Polyana is now 35-40 cm, such a layer is sufficient so that plants, many of which are rare, are not harmed," Vladislav Vorontsov, head of the Yasnaya Polyana memorial natural complex, told TASS.
According to him, the beginning of the start of "Ski Tracks of Russia" passes through the arable land, which was under the Volkonskys and under the Tolstoys, where grain crops were sown. Further along the route - the Young Garden, the Red Garden, Tolstoy's house, Ash Alley, Oblique Glade, the Voronka River. "All these objects are historical, reserved, a significant part of the territory is connected with even more early period history - the XV-XVI centuries, when the Zasechnaya line was created - a kind of protective and defensive structures in the forests. Zasechnye forests can be seen, for example, at the beginning of the route on the opposite side of the Young and Red Gardens," Vorontsov said.
The orchards were planted by Leo Nikolayevich Tolstoy himself, the same varieties of apple trees are still preserved there - Antonovka, cinnamon, pear. Race participants will also see the Chepyzh forest, where many oaks are planted, the age of which is from 200 to 300 years.
The Committee of the Tula Region for Sports expects that the number of participants in the race will reach 6-7 thousand people. "Each athlete at the finish line will receive a Tula gingerbread as a gift. Special prizes have been prepared for the winners in each group - Cell phones and other equipment, while we will not disclose the details of the surprise," the press service of the regional government noted.
Participants and guests of the "Ski Tracks of Russia" are also waiting for a concert program, hot tea and a field kitchen. A free shuttle will run from the car park to the starting area.
