Champagne cork wobbler com. Do-it-yourself wobbler - how to make homemade catchy baits

The classic spinners were replaced by wobblers that better imitate the behavior of fish. Wobbler building began to gain momentum during the period of shortage of baits. Now you can pick up the factory model at a price, appearance and properties. But some fishermen prefer to make them on their own, and sometimes home-made wobblers outperform factory counterparts in terms of parameters.

Types of wobblers and their characteristics

Before starting the manufacturing process, you need to familiarize yourself with the accepted classification of baits. You can make several wobblers with your own hands for various fish species, fishing conditions. With the design and characteristics are determined in advance.

Lure types:

  • By the nature of behavior in water - floating, sinking, balanced and superficial. Determined by the ratio of material with and without buoyancy.
  • By form. Crawler is the best wobbler for chub. Diverse rotational movements provides a wide blade in the front of the structure, cutters are located behind. However, due to the complexity of the design, their repair is difficult. A homemade wobbler from a toothbrush is made in the shape of a popper. He has a small cut nose, the blades are missing.
  • Length and weight. Depends on the size, weight and behavior of the fish. The recommended length is no more than 15 cm. Weight affects the choice of spinning.

Independent wobbler building requires special attention to the preparatory stage - the choice of drawing, material of manufacture. As a basis, you can take the factory model and make a number of improvements to its parameters.

Drawings for manufacturing

For the manufacture of wobblers, you need to draw up a diagram. It will include not only a list of materials, but also their characteristics - size, weight, location and method of fastening in the structure. The simplest model consists of a floating body made in the shape of a fish. A wire with cuts is installed in the longitudinal section. It also performs the functions of a sinker. A blade is mounted in the bow.

The advantage of such wobblers is the ability to make repairs in the field. However, they lack an important factor for bait - no sound waves. Therefore, it is better to make a complex wobbler with your own hands on the recommendation of a professional.

It consists of the following parts:

  • Hollow body divided into three chambers.
  • Large and small noise chambers located in the frontal part of the bait. To generate sound waves, small plastic balls are placed in them.
  • Places for attaching hooks.

The disadvantage is that it is problematic to repair such a design. To make such a beetle wobbler, you will need a complex operation to form cavities in two parts of the workpiece. The recommended material is wood.

Material selection

Most often, wood is used for spinners and wobblers. This material is easy to repair, process and has proper buoyancy. For self-production, you need a minimum of tools that are available in any home workshop. You can use other materials.

Styrofoam

A foam wobbler is used for fishing at the very surface of the water. This is true for places with abundant vegetation. The foam has good buoyancy. For the factory model, a minimum depth of up to 20 cm is required, which may affect the quality of fishing.

  • choose a foam with a maximum density indicator;
  • for external processing use fine-grained sandpaper;
  • when mounting cutters and blades, special glue is used;
  • a small piece of lead is mounted in the middle part for shipment - a slight deepening.

The advantages of these baits are that they can be quickly made, repairs are done on a fishing trip. It is enough to fill the damaged part of the structure with glue and wait for the final hardening. This is the best wobbler for pike for summer fishing.

Tree

The classic lure was originally made of wood until it was replaced by plastic models. The blank is made from any piece of wood at hand. For accuracy, you need to use patterns. Do-it-yourself lure cutters are better not to do. It is recommended to purchase factory ones to avoid twisting of the fishing line.

Tips for choosing material and manufacturing:

  • The easiest way is to make a wobbler from cork or other soft wood - lime, cedar or pine.
  • A complex bait with sound chambers is made of two parts. First, one part is made and a mirror is made according to its model.
  • An engraver is used for fine work.

Special attention is paid to glue. It should not dissolve in water, while at the same time giving the connection the required reliability. For repairs, you will need to disassemble the bait, which often leads to its breakdown. The way out is to make several models of the same type for quick replacement while fishing.

The video presents detailed instructions for making wobblers with your own hands:

Resin

If you need to repeat the shape of the factory model as accurately as possible, it is recommended to make a wobbler from epoxy. This will require a form of solid plasticine or clay. On the plate, an imprint of the bait is made on both sides. Subsequently, these recesses are filled with epoxy resin.

Before you make a wobbler, you will need to perform a number of preparatory steps:

  • Choose a mold material with a minimum moisture content. After the impression, it is desirable to freeze it to preserve the contours.
  • The composition of the filler. ECF or EDP are used as a basis. You need 9 parts of resin, one part of glue and 8 parts of small chips.
  • For floating models, after pouring one part with resin, a wooden insert is installed.

The final stage is grinding and installation of gear. First, it is checked for buoyancy in a container with water. If required, a weight is added. Repair of such a bait is impossible.

Wobblers made from a brush do not have the proper characteristics. The advice of experienced anglers is to spend more time and money to make a truly effective lure.

Greetings to all DIYers!

The author devotes this article to a very interesting, and familiar craft like fishing to all of us. Indeed, for many of us this type of hobby brings a lot positive emotions. Moreover, fishing is a powerful antidepressant. When you come to nature, to your favorite reservoir, then all everyday problems disappear like unnecessary garbage. We are already immersed in a completely different world, where we feel good.

Let's move on to the actual homemade.

Many of us use different types baits. These are rotating and oscillating baubles, and mormyshkas, and turntables, and poppers, and balancers and many others, but we will talk about such a kind of bait as a Wobbler.

All of the above baits can be easily bought at a fishing store. But it would be very easy and costly, because you and I can make our own home-made fishing bait without much effort and at a minimum cost.

To create a wobbler, we need.

Material:

Beer stopper;
- paper clips;
- Styrofoam;
- two small screws;
- swivel with clasp;
- double or triple hook with winding ring.

Tool:

wire cutters;
- stationery knife.

Well, let's start!
We pick up a standard cap from beer or from any other drink. Next, with the help of wire cutters, we bite off three notches on both sides. An example in the photo. This will be the so-called front and tail blade.

Then, with the help of hands, we squeeze both halves of the cork. We get such an unusual blank for the future wobbler.

Next, we take the foam and with the help of a clerical knife we cut off a piece from it. We put it inside the cork, so we will increase the buoyancy of the tackle.

Now you need to make a small hole in the tail part and, using a small self-tapping screw, fasten the swivel with a clasp and hooks.

Next, you need to make a core from a regular paper clip. It will connect the tail to the front, and will also be fixed to the fishing line.

More details are shown in the photo.

That's actually all done! We got a simple and unpretentious wobbler for catching perch and other predatory fish. It remains the case for small things, namely to go to your favorite body of water and adjust the tackle a little. This can be done by using the front and rear blades, that is, they will need to be bent or straightened, thus changing the movement in the water.

Creating new baits with my own hands, the fisherman expands his opportunities on the pond.

CROATIAN EGG FROM CHAMPAGNE CORK

The bait called "Croatian egg" is now on the lips of every spinner. Having gained popularity at the beginning of the 21st century, this invention of a fisherman from Croatia conquered the fishermen of our country. The advantage of the unhooked bait is the possibility of unhindered fishing in overgrown areas of the reservoir. In turn, the predator also appreciated it, including it in the list of its preferences! Unfortunately, the price in fishing shops bites, and every predatory fish hunter prefers to have a Croatian egg.
But there is always a way!

You can make a catchy bait yourself. Modern craftsmen have learned to do this in several ways. Let's consider one of them.

First, we process the champagne cork with a sharp knife (a clerical knife is suitable) to give it a streamlined teardrop shape. Trim with a file or emery. To mount the hook, we make a slot along the central axis of the bait from edge to edge with a hacksaw for metal. An offset hook or any elongated with a wire, at the end of which a ring is made for fastening, is suitable as a hook. The hook should protrude 2/3 of the body length of the bait from the narrower part, be strong and, most importantly, rather big! We glue it into the groove made all over the body of the future bait with waterproof glue. Fill the recess with a mixture of glue and the remaining chips. Next stage- shipment. Pour water into the container, immerse the bait. With the help of round lead weights, we achieve a position on the water when the hook looks up. We install the weights as a counterweight in a row from below and paste them into the body of the bait. Sand after drying. We paint at will, varnish.

The bait looks more interesting when it has eyes around the edges. Non-hooking from aquatic plants can be increased by attaching even plastic antennae that should come out of the body of the bait and end at the sting of the hook. The hook can be supplemented with feathers made of various materials that irritate the fish. It is possible to achieve a popper effect by adding an additional bowl-shaped recess in the bow during manufacture.

WINE AND BEER CAP POPPER

You will need: a cylindrical wine cork and a shallow metal cork from a glass bottle, wire, glue, a tee, round-nose pliers, a knife. First, we make a slot in the wine cork for the wire frame. It must be passed along the entire body to the central axis, given that the working position of the cork will be horizontal. We make rings on the wire at both ends: one for fastening, the second for the tee. We lay the frame in the prepared groove, glue it and fill the remaining cavity to give roundness. Choose which side

will be the head of the lure. We punch a hole in the center of the metal cork so that the ring of the wire frame goes there, and glue it outside to the end of the wine cork. Through the winding ring on the other side we fix the tee. To keep the bait correct position on the water, insert the weight from below. If a second tee is needed, first you need to lay a branch in the frame in order to have an additional ring, and add a vertical hole in the center to the longitudinal slot in the body, into which this additional ring will enter. If desired, we paint, creating points of attack on the body of the bait, varnished.

WOBLER

Based on the methods for making baits described above, you can make a small wobbler. The body of the future wobbler is cut out of cork. A wire frame with attachment points for hooks and balancing weights is mounted in it. In the head part, at an angle, we glue a processed blade made of hard plastic, cut with scissors, into an additional cut. The design will be similar in appearance to the equipment of the factory wobbler. Using the tool, we adjust the operation of the bait by changing the blade. We paint, we varnish. The wobbler can be made two- or three-piece by providing flexible connections for ring-to-ring elements in the wire frame.

FLOAT

Having given the desired shape to the body of the cork, you can make an ordinary float for fishing! Having decided on the attachment point, we equip the future float with a keel and an antenna. Perhaps it will be one element inserted through the body. A float to increase the carrying capacity can be made from several plugs fastened together. Since the float itself is not responsible for playing the fish, all of its elements can be fastened separately. Additionally, they need to be sealed from water penetration with glue or varnish. We paint, we varnish.

FLOATING EQUIPMENT WEIGHT

The weighting agent can be the shipped part of the cork, which retains buoyancy.
A cambric is glued into the center of the cork from edge to edge to pass the main line. On a snap, such a weighting agent is fixed above the main float with stoppers. After that, the problem of unhindered casting of light equipment with a rod is solved.

FEEDER "Nipple"

Here is the basic rule: the load of the feeder should be at the bottom, and the cork with stuffed bait should look up. As a feeder, any plastic plugs in volume can be used. The advantage of such feeders: dosed consumption of bait and clean hands. There are a lot of ways to make such feeders and methods of equipping hooks, and each angler considers his own to be the simplest and most effective.

The simplest way: we take a sliding lead sinker of a flat shape according to the size of the cork. .Such a sinker can be cast into a ready-made mold in the form of a metal plug. We fasten the plastic cork to this sinker with a small self-tapping screw or in another way. The question remains: how to equip? The most straightforward way: if the main line passes through the sinker, put a rocker with leashes. More effective: make the leash closer to the bait. To do this, a hole for the fishing line is drilled obliquely through the cork and the load. The feeder is limited along the way at the level of attachment of short leashes. After casting in working order, hooks with a nozzle, slightly peeking out of the feed of the feeder, will look more appetizing to the fish. Also, hooks can be hidden in the thickness of the feed without a nozzle or be with a foam ball replanting. For self-cutting of fish, it is enough to install a limiter for the movement of the feeder along the main line immediately or after a certain distance.

Alexey Bakhryukov

Once I needed to make tiny (20mm) floating wobblers. And immediately a problem arose: wobblers made of ordinary wood (birch, linden, oak) sink, since the tree does not have sufficient buoyancy to keep the blade, tees, winding rings, primer, paint and varnish afloat. I had to "think about it" and the idea came to make a wobbler from ... an ordinary cork. A cork is taken (preferably solid, not glued) and a blank of any shape you like is machined from it. You can take any branded model as a basis, you can experiment yourself. I recommend to work more with a sharp knife, as this material is sanded quite badly.

A wide incision is made along the abdomen for the frame. The frame is a piece of stainless steel wire with loops at the ends. It is best to solder the loops. This will improve reliability. The next step is to glue the frame. Ordinary superglue (SuperGlue, supermoment, etc.) primed the inner surface of the cut. After a few minutes, a frame is inserted into the incision and filled with the same superglue. After drying, we reinforce with thin copper wire and prime the entire surface of the wobbler with superglue. The distance between the wire is 1.5-2 mm. We take dichloroethane (sold in electrical stores) and pieces of plexiglass (or rather plastic: I use from a ruler), dissolve plexiglass in a small amount of dichloroethane until a viscous homogeneous solution is obtained (the consistency of thick sour cream).

Fill the entire wobbler with the resulting solution. I recommend laying a thick layer - it is better to clean it up later than to apply it again. Let dry for a few days. Drying time depends on the density of the solution - the thicker, the faster it dries. The resulting wobbler is processed with sandpaper and needle files. It turns out a plastic wobbler with cork insides. We make a cut for the blade and glue it. I make the blade from plexiglass, with a thickness of 1 to 2 mm, depending on the size of the wobbler. We prime the resulting wobbler with a PF primer, after pasting the blade with masking tape. Then we paint.

There are a lot of ways to paint, but I use the most common one: using a spray gun (from a ballpoint pen refill and a disposable pen body) I apply paint. The paint is an ordinary car enamel in white or silver metallic color, to which dyes are added. I take dyes from permanent markers. After painting, I cover with several layers of varnish. I use two-component for painting cars. We also install accessories on the pond, where we correct the game of the resulting wobbler, correcting the nose loop to the right and left.

I present a home-made bait, a wobbler "Beetle" for fish - a chub from the carp family, the bait is made from a wine cork. A detailed process of creating a fishing lure "May Beetle" with your own hands. Insects such as grasshopper, Maybug and its larva are used as bait for chub. The chub takes especially eagerly in the spring, in mid-May. The chub's favorite dish is definitely "Maybug" or "Khrushch". Homemade wobbler - "Maybug" was created as a floating bait on the surface with a slight immersion. The bait also works well for perch, which is not averse to profiting from a beetle. It is not very important for a perch that the bait completely matches the original, and here it is the active play of this bait that comes to the fore, which is ensured by the flexible plastic blade of the wobbler, which goes under high angle to the body of the bait. Here I sell such lures - https://vk.com/gabodav?w=wall-143764887_10%2Fall
The animation of the bait, which is set by the spinning player, is such that concentric circles, characteristic of a real beetle that has fallen into the water, diverge from the beetle on the surface of the water. By such actions, you can force the chub or perch to grab the bait without fail. It is important that the bait enters the water in a natural way from the point of view of the fish, for example near overhanging tree branches. Ideally after a gust of wind. You need to start the animation with small twitches of the tip of the spinning rod to create divergent circles on the water. The use of such a wobbler is justified during the period when there is a massive departure of beetles. The appearance of such a delicacy on the water cannot embarrass the chub, but on the contrary, it will force you to catch a yummy at all costs. I note that there should not be any fasteners and leashes. Such a surface bait is a universal wobbler for catching: chub, asp or perch. By the way, the ide likes to pamper itself with such a delicacy, and you can also catch: large roach, bream, carp, rudd and other not predatory fish. The recommended time for catching artificial beetle is in the daytime and in the evening. Fish peck at the beetle only in warm and clear weather. After heavy rains, the bite noticeably worsens, and sometimes disappears altogether. To make at home, you need the following: 01. wine cork; 02. stainless steel wire O 0.8 mm; 03. superglue - Cyanoacrylate; 04. nylon bottle, thickness 0.5 - 0.8 mm; 05. stationery knife; 06. round nose pliers; 07. side cutters; 08. lead for loading; 09. nail polishes; 10. masking tape; 11. a little imagination. --- Composition "The Life and Death of a Certain K.
