These are steel racks that are attached to the bicycle frame, a motor mount (holds the gearbox with a motor), a chain tensioner with caprolon rollers, a driven star mount on the wheel, an adapter from the gearbox shaft to the freewheel. He designed the details himself, and made them at a nearby defense plant.

Of course, it was not possible to assemble the ideal design the first time, I treated children's sores for another year. I selected the optimal materials and design solutions, tried different layouts, and rode, rode, rode ...

What happened in the end? Ultralight (curb weight - 25 kg) motorized transport with maximum speed 55 km / h, dynamics at the level of simple Chinese scooters, fuel consumption of 2 liters per 100 km (power reserve on one tank 50 km), which does not stain oil at all and does not smell of gasoline. The absence of smell and dirt helps me save money on a garage or parking lot, the motorbike is in the apartment and does not bring discomfort to the family at all. Particularly pleased that all the "pedal" functions are fully preserved. It remains to shift gears and easy pedal travel (thanks to the “freewheel”), with a lack of traction, the motor can always be helped by pedals and drive up any hill. The running of a modern mountain bike is very strong and reliable, disc brakes provide very confident braking, and large wheels make it easier to overcome our “directions”.

After completing the design improvements, I have already traveled more than 4000 km and during this time I have only changed the drive chain once, the spark plug twice, and once I cleaned the fuel system - a good indicator of reliability and unpretentiousness.

For lightness and daring agility, I called my motorbike "Hare". Now I drive the "Hare" every day to work, and in traffic jams it has no equal. It's so narrow and agile that during rush hour I get home faster than before on a motorcycle, and the fare is ridiculous. There were also small trips, trips out of town, even from Moscow to Yaroslavl. But a motorbike, of course, is not for the track - it’s not comfortable to “beat” on it, but in the city and country trips I can’t imagine the best transport for myself!

Assembling the cultivator

  • using a jigsaw, cut a circle with a diameter of 10 cm from the metal;
  • process it on an emery machine until an almost perfect shape is achieved;
  • at regular intervals, prepared cutters are welded to the metal circle (the recommended number is 3).

With more than 3 pieces, the number of cutters, the load on the equipment greatly increases.

On next step it is necessary to attach a cutter for weeding to the trimmer. The process is greatly simplified if reverse thread, located at the end of the scythe shaft, onto which the manufactured working part is simply wound. To do this, a tube with a nut is pre-welded to the cutter.
