Olympic indoor stadium hall scheme. "Kyiv Square"

"Olympic" is a legendary sports facility, one of the main sights of Moscow. The sports complex has a history of four decades. It was built to Olympic Games 1980 and for a long time was the largest indoor sports facility in Europe.

At the end of 2017, the object was acquired by the group of companies " Kyiv area» God Nisanov and Zarakh Iliev. Currently, the holding is reconstructing the complex, which is scheduled to be completed in 2023.

The new Olimpiyskiy will be equipped with a multifunctional arena designed for concerts, sports and circus events, a space for exhibitions and conferences, a multiplex cinema, a children's entertainment center, electronic library, a medical diagnostic center, the project also provides for a planetarium. Moving panoramic restaurants will start working on its roof.

After the reconstruction, the Olimpiyskiy will retain its sports function. In the renovated "Olympic" the swimming and jumping pools will again work, indoor ice rink, gyms, as well as a water park, a diving center, tennis courts, spa and fitness areas, etc. In addition, parking will be expanded, which will make visiting the Olimpiyskiy more comfortable.

Sports complex "Olympic" - one of the main attractions of the capital. The largest sports and entertainment events of the world level were held within its walls. Among them are the Olympics-80, the World Championship in rhythmic gymnastics, the World Boxing Championship and even the Biathlon Race of Champions.

Concerts of world stars - Depeche Mode, Beyonce, Aerosmith, Kylie Minogue, Scorpions - were sold out at the Olimpiyskiy. And in 2009, the complex became famous all over the world, becoming the venue for the popular Eurovision music contest.

With time sports objects"Olympic" - the main arena and the pool - are outdated, they do not meet international standards. Therefore, on July 1, 2019, the sports complex will be closed for reconstruction. It will last until 2022.

Olimpiyskiy to be reconstructed on the basis of the Luzhniki Stadium

The recognizable facade of the main building will not change. It will be saved. Its reconstruction will be carried out by analogy with the Luzhniki stadium: the entire span of the building along the facade wall will remain, and the lower, stylobate part, and the roof will be rebuilt.

Reconstruction project of the sports complex "Olympic"

Now the roof of the "Olympic" is a membrane concave inside, which "eats" a lot of space. Instead, a glass dome will appear.

SC "Olympic" before reconstruction

“It will be located at a considerable distance from the perimeter of the building. Therefore, from the height of human growth, it will be invisible, ”explained the design director of the IC Galina Gordyushina.

Diving center, rooftop concert hall and panoramic restaurants

After the reconstruction, the Olimpiyskiy Sports Complex will become the first indoor multifunctional sports complex in Russia, which will bring together under one roof a variety of different types sports and enhance existing sports functions.

The existing bowls will be left in the pool of the Olimpiysky sports complex. In addition, there will be an entertainment zone for adults and children, a water park and a beach sports zone. Also, the first in Russia training diving center with a height of about 30 meters will be created there.

Grandstands for 500 seats will be added to the existing ice rink, and universal Sport halls will be occupied with tennis, streetball and the increasingly popular squash.

Reconstruction project of the sports complex "Olympic"

Floors will appear in the main building instead of the arena. A running center, a fitness club, and a spa center will be equipped there. Half of the floor will be occupied by a family recreation area.

An entire floor will be dedicated to cinemas, exhibition spaces and a small planetarium will also appear. Now the possibility of creating an electronic library is being worked out with international experts.

Under the very dome will be located concert hall for 10 thousand viewers. And although it will be three times smaller, the opportunity to hold large-scale concerts will remain.

“Seven years ago, the issue of reducing the area of the concert hall would have been acute, then the Olimpiysky was almost the only venue. Now concerts are being successfully held at the Luzhniki, Otkritie Arena, VTB Arena stadiums, ”said G. Gordyushina.

Panoramic restaurants will be located on the exploited part of the roof.

The main building and the pool at the level of the stylobate will be connected treadmill in the form of the number "8". Its length will be about 1 km. There will also be a pedestrian connection with the building.

Reconstruction project of the sports complex "Olympic"

Enough parking space for everyone

Cars are now parked in front of the building. After the reconstruction, underground parking will appear. The ability to park cars on the surface will remain, but not in such numbers. Due to this, a pedestrian zone will be created there.

Hi all!

I recently attended a concert at the Olympic Sports Complex. I was there not for the first time, but after a long break.

New about the C6 sector at the end of the review + photo!

About sector B (sector B) read:

Currently, the sports complex is used as playground, and as a pool, and as a venue for various concerts and events that require a large, spacious hall (up to 35,000 when used as a stadium, up to 28,000 when used as a concert arena), and there are a lot of little things in the UK (various shopping, commercial, medical institutions). I was at concerts, and in the pool part, at children's performances ... But today MY REVIEW WILL BE EXACTLY ABOUT THE PART OF THE COMPLEX WHERE THE CONCERTS ARE HELD (arena YUG).

To be honest, I found out about the performance of my favorite group by accident, a lot of tickets had already been sold out, which ones to take from the remaining ones - I had absolutely no idea, because. I was at a concert there about 10 years ago, and the last time I was at children's shows in another part of the sports complex.

The tickets were quite expensive. I did not want to buy and get into bad places. Or pay twice as much for an approximately equivalent place. Moreover, I was not alone and for three it turned out to be quite expensive! There is little information and photo-video on the Internet. I was not ready to go to the fan zone. And so I suffered for several days, and there were fewer and fewer tickets ...

As a result, I had to take tickets to the uppermost sector B, but in the middle (these are sectors B-8 and B-9). It was possible to buy a balcony below, sector A, but in terms of distance from the stage it is also located, just a tier lower, and at a cost it was already 2 times more expensive, and there were no more central places.

HALL SCHEME(it may be slightly different, change from concert to concert. If you are going to a concert, look at the information about it on the website, there will be a diagram for your event).

RULES FOR ATTENDING EVENTS IN SC "OLIMPIYSKY"(how to behave, what you can carry, etc.)

HOW TO GET TO SC "OLIMPIYSKY"

On SITE other information is provided. For example, about attending events by minors, persons with handicapped, specifications platforms, etc.

Well, we are with the cherished tickets at the UK! I must say that the lucky ones from the fan zone usually arrive well in advance, stand in line at the entrance, and as soon as they start, they run at a run to take a place closer to the stage. Comrades with seating may not be in much of a hurry. Firstly, there are many entrances and there are no crowds. Secondly, not a single concert has yet started on time, in any case, the opening band will sing for exactly 20-30 minutes. Thirdly, there is simply nothing to do in the UK itself.

But first things first.

Each visitor passes 2-3 cordons security . They will let you through the metal detector, and the dogs will sniff, and the police will feel.

Inside ... well, who was 10-15 years ago - everything is the same! Dull tiled walls like in a public toilet, old stairs, marking sectors and places.

On the podium also all unchanged. Plastic chairs from the time of the Olympics, on them with paint, you can hardly make out, the seat numbers are written. The people on such chairs are stuffed tightly, there is simply nowhere to put a bottle of water. No fences, if you drop the phone, then it flies down the rows. Behind you, in fact, someone's legs are on your shoulders .... A little freer, but the same plastic chairs in VIP seats (sectors C8 - C15).

As I said, there is nothing to do in the UK itself. To be honest, I expected to shoot something, some promotional materials, posters ... Nothing. Bare walls. As if now there will not be a concert, but we will go to the pool.

Trade represented by single tables with T-shirts, CDs and some Chinese junk. At exorbitant prices, of course.

About food and drink: Ah this at all in any gate! On the floors there are tables-counters, through which the saleswomen actively pour everyone (also for fantastic money) and you can have a bite to eat. We are teetotalers, the concert was delayed a lot, we wanted to eat, we went to this “buffet”. We bought a small bottle of water, a small juice, a small chocolate bar (not even a bar), one cola and one sandwich. Gave 850 rubles! So, citizens, eat well before the concert, there is nothing to eat there!

Again - we collected these bottles and juices, all this in our hands, another bag, binoculars, and then the concert begins, we need to run to the places, we settled down there like sparrows on perches, our hands are busy, we still need to get the phone for a photo, put it down nowhere but right on the concrete floor under the seat….

About natural needs: queues. But it's free.

About wardrobe and binoculars: There are wardrobes. Binoculars are issued as follows: 500 rubles to use binoculars (non-refundable), 1000 deposit if you do not rent clothes, and no deposit if you do. Moreover, you can donate anything, even a T-shirt. Think about a spare item that you can put in the wardrobe if you don’t want to leave 1000 rubles as a deposit. (By the way, the binoculars are of very mediocre quality).

About the ventilation and air conditioning system: We sat on the very top and it is under the ceiling that the ventilation system is located. Before the hall filled up completely and the concert began, I was afraid that I would be blown away, but after the start of the event it was very hot. I can’t imagine what it was like for those who sat or stood below.

About places: I post real photo from SC "Olympiyskiy" with marking of seats. And I will share my comments. Of course, if you are young, strong and hardy, then you need to go to the fan zone, and closer to the stage. There's usually some weird stuff going on there. You can not only sing and dance well, but also, with a very successful set of circumstances, hug your favorite artist or catch a small present from the musicians. In dance parterres and sides like C1, C2, C3, C4, C22, C 21, C20, C19, as well as A1, A2, A3, A18, A17, A16 in the absence of an additional stage (language), or if the artist will not be enough for to speak to her - most likely, it will be possible only to listen. Unfortunately, the hall is so unmodernized that even such a “miracle” as side screens is not provided (what is there! These rags alone, separating the stage from the rest of the arena, are worth something!). The screen is one in the center. And just now I am approaching how it looked to us from the sector AT 8. Well, at the very ideal, I would not only go to the fan zone, I would also climb onto the stage, but I will say that I was not mistaken with the places. The hall is located in tiers, so a little lower or a little higher does not play a special role, you won’t sit any closer from this. But to sit as much as possible in the center - this is important! Firstly, you can evaluate all the shows in the complex. Secondly, the screen is also in the center and some details can be seen in it.

About sound: The sound was very mediocre. In other words, phony! Speakers are located near the stage and under the ceiling in the hall. Heard by everyone.

About the concert itself: The concert, of course, was freaky. With all the organizational minuses and shortcomings, unfortunately, we do not have a platform of equal capacity. You have to be content with what you have. Although it would certainly be happier to be in a pleasant, beautiful, festive environment, since I paid a lot of money and came to the concert. And it’s somehow embarrassing to invite artists to such a barn (should be).

For those who will go to an event at the Olimpiyskiy Sports Complex by car: Keep away from SC. The human sea will pour through all the nearest streets for at least half an hour. Cars will stop.

If I were to rate the concert, then Airek would not have enough stars. I think that your event will leave the most pleasant memories. Therefore, despite the low rating, I recommend. I recommend you attend cultural events, concerts, performances. It's charging!

But I give the Olimpiysky Sports Complex a barely stretched C and sincerely hope that modernization awaits it in the near future!

November 2017:

Egegey! I was back at the Olympic! I took tickets on the eve of the concert, I got Sector C6, 14th row, 14th-15th places. We could hardly see the screens (but the passage is nearby, you can go out on business or dance, but closer to the end of the sector you can already see the screens and the stage is better). The sound is still the same disgusting, different instruments and the voice do not "reduce". At sectors A-C your wardrobe on the minus second floor. This is tin! After the concert, you can spend up to an hour in the crush there. But there are many water closets and there is something more decent to eat (on the floors above, there are also tables with sandwiches). Binoculars also cost 500 rubles when you donate clothes. See photo, as seen from sector C6:

The legendary sports complex "Olympiysky" was built specifically for competitions and other spectacular events as part of the famous Moscow Olympics, which took place in 1980. And today there are organized important sports and show of domestic and foreign pop stars.

A bit of history

At the beginning of the 20th century, on the site where the Olimpiysky Sports Complex is located today, the Union Stadium was located, where Muscovites made their first attempts to master a new kickball game. During the Soviet period, this sports facility was renamed several times. In particular, at first they began to call it the "Stadium of the Soviet Trade Employees", then the "Profintern Stadium" and, finally, the "Petrel". The construction of the Olimpiyskiy, which was supposed to be the largest sports complex in the world at that time, began in 1977. The authorship of the project of this grandiose building belonged to a large team of architects, led by M. Posokhin. By the way, for his excellent work in 1982, together with the architect B. Thor, he was awarded one of the highest awards of the USSR - the Lenin Prize. In order to build the Olimpiysky sports complex, in addition to the territory of Burevestnik, plots were allocated for construction, where the buildings of the Voskhod factory and the Experimental Chemical and Metallurgical Plant were located, as well as residential buildings located in Topolev, Vypolzov and Samarsky lanes. The construction lasted only three years, which is not so much considering the scale of the structure, and the official opening date coincided with the opening ceremony of the 1980 Olympics.
