Training in primary school- This difficult process not only from a didactic, but also from a physiological point of view. Children are not yet fully adapted to the new social role of students, they quickly lose interest in the lesson and get tired. Therefore, each lesson in grades 1-4 must be planned so that the kids can relax, switch to another activity. For these purposes, physical minutes are intended.

The role of physical minutes in elementary school

Children perform exercises more actively if the teacher makes movements with them

In the body of children aged 6–10 years, some functional systems have not yet been fully formed. This is about:

  • central nervous system;
  • visual and auditory analyzers;
  • musculoskeletal system.

That is why it is so important in elementary school lessons not only to pay attention to the implementation of educational goals, but also to promote the health of children. For a comprehensive solution of these problems, physical minutes are used. These are small (from 2 to 5 minutes) pauses in the middle of the lesson or the first stage of the lesson, which are the prevention of hypodynamia and disorders in the functioning of the organs of vision and hearing.

This is interesting. The scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences found that two hours a week physical education, which are included in the curriculum for grades 1-4, compensate for only about 11% of the need for children of this age motor activity. This is despite the fact that a child of 6-10 years old should move about 4 hours a day and up to 24 hours a week.

In addition, physical minutes in grades 1-4 help:

  • switch the attention of the children from one type of work to another (for example, from reading to retelling);
  • set up for work (it’s no secret that children hardly get involved in work after a break, and a physical minute will just make the transition from active physical pastime to cognitive more harmonious);
  • give rest to the fingers (in a writing or drawing lesson), eyes (in a reading class), as well as the left hemisphere of the brain, which is responsible for establishing sequence, logic (in arithmetic lessons);
  • relax (psycho-emotional health of schoolchildren depends on their physical condition, so the teacher primary school it is necessary to plan the lesson so that physical minutes are necessarily included in the lesson summary, then the level of assimilation of the material will be higher);
  • maintain interest in the lesson (it is extremely important for kids to constantly maintain interest in cognitive activities so that “intrigue” remains until the end of the lesson).

Moreover, physical minutes form a positive attitude to the situations that have arisen in the class team. So, if there was a fight in the class during the break, then in order to distract the kids from what happened, reconcile and prepare for learning activities in the classroom, you need to conduct a joint entertainment game that will also be good for health. With this task, health minutes in the classroom are excellently handled. You need to organize such pauses in the middle of the lesson (at each lesson), at the beginning (at the last lessons, when the children are very tired) and at the end (at the first lessons, so that the kids have more time to tune in to the next lesson). Thus, at each training session, two physical minutes are held.

To make physical minutes interesting for children, they can be carried out on behalf of a famous character, for example, Carlson

Short breaks in the lesson can be of a different nature, depending on the purpose and content of the lesson. Let's look at some types.

Musical

Physical minutes in this category involve musical accompaniment. And this is not necessarily a live accompaniment. You can use both a tape recorder and a computer. The main thing is that the recording can be quickly found, easily stopped and repeated if necessary. A musical break can be recorded with words or just a melody. In the latter version, it is assumed that the teacher himself invents or selects words (preferably in poetic form). Also, this type of physical minutes includes talking with your eyes closed to the sounds of nature. To the sound of the sea, the rustle of leaves, the teacher asks questions that the children should answer immediately (for example, what color do you see now, what taste do you feel - sweet, sour, bitter, who are you thinking about, etc.). Just keep in mind that such a pause must be approved by a child psychologist, as it affects the area of \u200b\u200bthe subconscious of babies. IN simplified version such a physical minute can be carried out in the form of a teacher's story to the sounds of nature:

There is a wonderful forest in the world,
It's full of wonders
Fish fly across the sky
And they dive into the lake.
Well, the butterflies in the pond
They played leapfrog.

TO standard types musical physical minutes include:

  • interactive karaoke pauses (on the screen, children see the words of the song and repeat it to the musical accompaniment);
  • mixed physical culture breaks (along with words, children need to repeat a certain set of body movements or only with their eyes, hands, fingers).

By the way, the last type of physical minutes is the most popular, as it allows you to comprehensively realize the goals of these breaks.

Dynamic physical education "Chick-chick, repeat after me" (video)

dance

These motor pauses echo musical physical minutes. But quite often they do not involve the repetition of the words of the song, or the accompanying text contains a minimum. For such breaks, it is important to use the arms, legs, torso of the guys, and not involve them in memorizing songs or poems.

"Dance of the little ducklings" (video)

In verse

Toddlers remember rhymes better if they are accompanied by movements.

Rhyming physical minutes not only distract the little ones from the monotonous assimilation of information, but also train their memory and speech. Such minutes usually involve a comic rhyme, which can be accompanied by elementary actions (flexion-extension of the fingers, eye movement in a circle, squats, etc.). For example:

We kick top top,
We clap-clap with our hands,
And then jump
And one more time.
And then squatting
And then squatting
And then squatting
And again - in order.
We will run along the path
One two Three!
And clap your hands

Movable physical minutes

Moving physical minutes can be carried out without leaving your desk

The peculiarity of such breaks is that the children get up from their chairs and go to the blackboard or into the corridor. Such pauses are especially appropriate at the end of the day, when the guys are already very tired.

  • "Friendly dance". Children join hands and stand in a circle. The leader remains in the center, who says what movement the participants should make (crouch, jump), the children repeat.
  • "Happy crocodile" The children take turns showing the animals, the class must guess which animal is represented.
  • "Brook". Children become in pairs, raise their clasped hands. The host passes "under the arch" and takes out one participant, his pair becomes in the "tail", and the one left without a pair goes to the beginning.

minutes for the eyes

There are special electronic physical exercises for the eyes that can be found on the Internet.

  • relaxation of the visual muscles;
  • eye focus;
  • activation of peripheral vision.

The most versatile exercises are

  • "Gnomes-Lilliputians" (due to the movement of the picture and the change of colors, eye fatigue is removed);

Video: "Gnomes-Lilliputians"

  • "Tumblers" (due to the slow movement of small objects, visual acuity is trained);

Video: Warm-up "Tumblers"

  • “Day-night” (to the word “Night” the kids close their eyes for 5 seconds, to the word “Day” they wake up, rubbing their eyes, repeat 8-10 times);
  • “Vigilant eye” (draw eyes clockwise 5 circles, repeat the movement in the opposite direction);
  • “We write with our nose” (we close our eyes, we draw simple figures with our nose in the air - a circle, a square);
  • “Double finger” (we place the second finger - the index finger - at a distance of 20–30 cm from the middle of the face, move the finger to the nose, without taking our eyes off it, until it doubles);
  • funny rhymes with movements.

Hands behind your back, heads back.
(Close your eyes, relax)
Let your eyes look up at the ceiling.
(Open your eyes, look up)
Let's lower our heads - look at the table.
(Down)
And up again - where is the fly flying?
(Up)
Let's turn our eyes, let's look for her.
(On both sides)
And we draw again. A little more.

Thematic pauses in the lessons of mathematics, linguistics and others

Combining physical minutes around some subject useful for memorizing the material of the lesson

Every teacher knows how important it is to use time productively in the classroom. Therefore, even physical minutes should be selected not only in accordance with the goals of maintaining the health of babies (this, of course, is paramount), but also meet the objectives of the lesson. Therefore, the methodologists have developed a whole set of warm-ups for basic school courses.

  • In mathematics lessons, warm-ups will be very useful, in which there are numbers and counting, as well as intense movements of the arms, legs and torso to distract from mental work:

Let's jump and jump!

One two three four five!
Let's jump and jump! (Jumping in place.)
The right side tilted. (Tilts of the body to the left-to the right.)
One two Three.
Leaned left side.
One two Three.
Now let's raise our hands (Hands up.)
And we'll reach the cloud.
Let's sit on the path, (Sit down on the floor.)
Let's stretch our legs.
Bend the right leg, (Bend the legs at the knee.)
One two Three!
Let's bend the left leg
One two Three.
Raise your legs high (Raise your legs up.)
And they held on a little.
Shake your head (Head movements.)
And everyone stood up together. (Stand up.)

Turn, tilt, jump

Turn, tilt, jump,
Smile, buddy.
Jump again: one, two, three!
Look at your neighbor
Hands up and then down
And sit down at the desk again.

We clap our hands

We clap our hands
And let's sink a little.
One - sat down, two - got up,
Three - bent down and got
Right-handled slipper,
Left hand - ceiling.
And let's sit down one more time!
Now let's sit down.
We are a little tired
Let's rest for a minute.

  • Grammar lessons are built on mastering and automating the writing skill, so warm-ups should mainly involve the hands and fingers of the children:

Cabbage

We chop cabbage, chop, (Sweeping movements with our hands, like an ax)
We mash cabbage, we mash cabbage,
We salt and salt the cabbage, (“They take” a pinch of salt and “salt”)
We are eating cabbage. (Flexion and extension of the hands)

Fizminutka "Vegetables"

One, two, three, four (Walking in place)
Children taught vegetables: (Jumping in place)
Onion, radish, zucchini, (Tilts left and right)
Horseradish, carrot, garlic (clap hands).

Mushrooms

(Fingers bend one by one)
This finger went to the forest,
This finger mushroom found
This finger began to clean,
This finger began to fry,
This finger sat down and ate
That's why he got fat.

  • For drawing lessons, you can pick up warm-ups that involve moving children around the office:

Now everyone is quiet
Hands raised together,
To the side, forward, back,
Turned right, left
They ran around the desk,
We sat down quietly, back to business.

We are little bunnies
They jumped in the meadow.
jumping, jumping,
They ran to school.
Behind the desks quietly lope
And let's continue our lesson.

They walked along the path, walked, (children walk along the perimeter of the office)
Many stones were found.
Sat down, collected
And we went further.

The teacher's creative approach to lesson planning is realized not only in the choice educational material, but also in systematization, working out physical minutes. The main thing is that such pauses should be on time, that is, they should not interrupt the concentrated work of the children, but become a kind of transitional element from one stage of the lesson to another.

Physical minutes in elementary school are extremely important not only so that children get tired less, do not lose interest in the lesson, but also to preserve the health of the younger generation. The teacher can use the existing developments or come up with their own, based on the interests and hobbies of younger students. After all, kids are happy to recite rhymes, sing songs and play, especially if the teacher not only watches them, but participates just as recklessly and cheerfully.

PHYSMINUTES FOR EYES

To rest your eyes, you can look up, down, right, left without getting up, draw a circle or the first letter of your name with your eyes. It is very good when the exercises are accompanied by a poetic text.

Eyes see everything around
I will circle them.
Eye to see everything is given -
Where is the window, and where is the cinema.
I will circle them
I look at the world around.

  1. Blink quickly, close your eyes and sit quietly, slowly counting to 5. Repeat 4-5 times.
  2. Close your eyes tightly (count to 3), open, look into the distance (count to 5). Repeat 4-5 times.
  3. Stretch your right hand forward. Follow with your eyes, without turning your head, the slow movements of the index finger of the outstretched hand to the left and right, up and down. Repeat 4-5 times.
  4. Look at the index finger of the outstretched hand at the expense of 1-4, then look into the distance at the expense of 1-6. Repeat 4-5 times.
  5. At an average pace, do 3-4 circular movements with your eyes to the right side, the same amount to the left side. Relaxing eye muscles, look into the distance at the expense of 1-6. Repeat 1-2 times.

PHYSMINUTES FOR HANDS AND FINGERS

For primary school students, especially for first graders, holding a pen in their hands is a big job. Children squeeze it very tightly with their fingers, believing that the tighter they hold the pen, the more beautiful they will get letters. As a result, the small muscles of the arm and hand get tired quickly and require relaxation. What can help in this case?

1. Alternately connect the fingers of the right and left hands, starting with the little finger or, conversely, with the thumb.

2. Connect your hands and spread your fingers apart, depicting a flower. Then close your fingers and you will have a bud. Alternate tasks “flower”, “bud”

3. Connect the fingers of both hands as if holding a small balloon in your hands, and gradually begin to inflate the balloon. The ball increases, and the fingers spread apart.

4. Open your palm, put it in front of you and tap with the fingers of the other hand, depicting the running of horses.

Physical education lessons at a lesson in elementary school help children relieve stress from educational process, slightly warm up from a long sitting at a desk, change the type of activity and then it is better to assimilate new material. Physical education is a small complex exercise: tilts, stretches, turns, jumps. All actions are performed under the poetic text. It is important that the poem for physical education is chosen according to the age of the child.

External manifestations of fatigue are increased distractions, loss of interest and attention, weakening of memory, impaired handwriting, and decreased performance.

The first signs of fatigue serve as a signal to perform physical exercises. This form of physical activity can be used by all teachers, especially in elementary grades. Physical education minutes have a positive effect on the analytical and synthetic activity of the brain, activate the cardiovascular and respiratory system, improve blood circulation internal organs and performance nervous system. The start time of the physical culture minute is determined by the teacher himself. Physiologically justified time for physical education is the 15th - 20th minute of the lesson. In the first grade, it is recommended to spend two physical minutes at each lesson. In the 2nd - 4th grades, it is recommended to conduct one physical education minute, starting from the 2nd or 3rd lesson in connection with the development of the first phase of mental fatigue in a significant part of the students in the class.

Basic requirements for the preparation of a complex of physical education minutes.

Exercises should cover large groups muscles and relieve static tension caused by prolonged sitting at the desk. It can be stretching, tilting, turning, squatting, jumping, running in place. Movement with brushes: squeezing, unclenching, rotation. Exercises should be simple, interesting, accessible to children, if possible related to the content of the classes, be of a playful nature. The complex should consist of one or two exercises, repeated 4-6 times. Replacement of the complex is carried out at least 1 time in two weeks. The content of the exercises should depend on the nature and conditions of the lesson. So, after written tasks, they include hand movements, squeezing and unclenching fingers, etc. During the control and some practical lessons (labor, physical education, rhythm, etc.), physical education is not carried out.

From the standpoint of health savings, the benefits of easy execution several exercises is minimal, if this does not take into account 3 conditions:

1. The composition of the exercises should depend on the characteristics of the lesson, what subject it is, what type of activity the students were involved in before, what their condition is.

2. Mandatory is the emotional component of physical education. The amplitude of stimulated emotions of students can be different: from pronounced expression to calm relaxation, but in all cases the lesson should be conducted against a positive emotional background.

3. The teacher needs to develop 2-3 conditional verbal-behavioral signs that allow students to quickly and efficiently switch to a different mode of activity.

Here are some physical exercises that I use in class:

  • A wellness minute is held every 1-15 minutes of doing homework.
  • The total duration of the wellness minute is not more than 3 minutes.
  • If the child performed a written task before this, it is necessary to perform exercises for the hands: squeezing and unclenching the fingers, shaking the hands, etc.
  • After a long sitting, the child needs to do stretching, squatting, turning the torso in different directions.
  • Tasks with a simultaneous, emotional load are very useful - to relieve stress.

Task examples:

  1. "Washing my hands" - energetic rubbing palm on palm.
  2. “My windows” - alternate, active wiping of an imaginary window.
  3. "We catch a butterfly" - an imaginary butterfly flies in the room. She needs to be caught and released. In this case, it is necessary to firmly squeeze and unclench the palm, making grasping movements.
