The best and simplest bite alarms. Do-it-yourself electronic bite alarm - step by step instructions

A variety of methods of catching fish are united by one small but crucial moment: at the moment when the fish pecked, swallowed the nozzle and made attempts to escape, it is extremely important for the angler to respond in a timely and accurate manner by taking actions aimed at fighting the prey. That is why Special attention in preparation fishing tackle given to bite alarms.

What is a bite alarm?

The name of this element of fishing equipment speaks for itself: this design is designed to notify the fisherman about the fact of a bite. If we analyze the process of operation of this device in detail, then, with all the variety of its types, the scheme remains the same - the signaling device captures any changes in the tension of the fishing line, which inevitably lead to the chaotic movements of the fish caught on the hook.

Kinds

Mechanical homemade signaling device

There are two classifications of bite signaling devices, the first of which is produced by device type:

  • Mechanical(float, sensitive tip of the rod, nod, guard, swinger, springer, bat, monkey and others, including home-made mechanisms);
  • Electronic, which, in turn, can be grouped according to several criteria: power source (rechargeable, battery-powered or combined), notification method (sound, light and also combined); distance alerts (direct and remote).

The criterion for another classification was how to signal a bite to an angler. So, allocate:

  • visual- notify by means of various kinds of movements visible to the eye;
  • Sound– signal through sound effects.

Which bite alarm is better to choose when catching carp?

Experienced carp anglers most often use several signaling devices at the same time different type both mechanical and electronic. The need for an electronic detector is primarily due to the duration of carp fishing and the actual waiting for a bite.

While the mechanical one can sometimes serve for other purposes. When fishing for carp, the sinker is often mounted in a deaf way in the hope that the fish will hook itself. In this case, a heavy mechanical device will act as a non-standard line tension regulator.

Advantages of electronic bite detection devices

Reliability and sensitivity

Often, weather conditions such as rain and wind can prevent mechanical devices from adequately picking up line movement. While an electronic signaling device, with its proper configuration, minimizes the likelihood of false alerts. At the same time, the sensitivity of the device is in no way inferior, and in most cases, even surpasses the good old mechanical devices.

As for performance in conditions of high humidity, low temperatures and other adverse weather conditions, all models are protected by a waterproof case. The electrical board of the devices also has a separate hermetic protection.

Protective cases

For ease of transportation, as well as the subsequent installation of the signaling device, special covers are provided that will protect it from environmental influences, shocks during transportation, dust, dirt and moisture during storage.

Small power consumption

Different models of the device under consideration have, respectively, different characteristics of power consumption.

However, all of them more than justify the cost of consumed electricity by providing indispensable assistance to the angler who knows how to use them correctly.

However, when going fishing, you should carry several replacement batteries with you, or fully charge the battery if it is running on battery power.

Ease of use

The individual requirements of the angler to the signaling device dictate a set of necessary functions that will provide maximum convenience in specific fishing conditions. Of course, the most convenient and effective models are those equipped with a built-in signal transmitter and pager.

On sale there are kits of several such devices and one pager to notify the fisherman about a bite from several gears.

In addition, some electronic models have the ability to customize different kind signal, depending on what movement is recorded - in the direction of the coast or away from it. This gives an almost complete picture of what is happening under water.

How to increase the catch of fish?

For 7 years of active passion for fishing, I have found dozens of ways to improve the bite. Here are the most effective ones:

  1. Biting activator. This pheromone additive lures fish the most in cold and warm water. Discussion of the Hungry Fish bite activator.
  2. Raise gear sensitivity. Read the appropriate manuals for the particular type of tackle.
  3. Lures based pheromones.

Main types

pendulum

One of the varieties of visual mechanical signaling devices. According to its design, it is a plastic tube with a wire inside and two rings through which the fishing line passes.

To visually determine the bite, the device is equipped with a bright head, into which you can insert at night. The bite signal is made by deflecting the tube from the vertical position and further swinging like a pendulum.

The inconvenience of using this type of detector in conditions of strong wind or current, which can provoke a false signal, dictates basic rules for choosing the size of this device:

  • Pendulum signaling device small size suitable for calm weather and still water.
  • Heavy and large mechanism will be more efficient fishing in strong winds.

The beginning of the bite is signaled by a slight trembling of the pendulum. This is followed by a smooth movement of the mechanism, indicating the moment of tension of the fishing line, the most successful for hooking. Single, albeit with a significant deviation of the tube, movements are most often not a sign of a bite, but arise as a result of touching the fishing line or.

Sound

The simplest representative of this type of device is a bell equipped with a clip for attaching to the tip of the rod. However, let us dwell in more detail on electronic signaling devices, most of which are equipped with an audible signal.

As it was emphasized earlier, the most advanced models have the ability to adjust the sound signal depending on various criteria. For example, the simplest thing is that the tone of the sound notification coming from each of several rods can vary. In addition, the sound may vary depending on the degree of tension on the line.

Light

Such a signaling device consists of a luminous element that must be attached to the tip of the rod. The service life of this type of device varies from an hour to several years.

The main disadvantage of light detectors is the dependence on the sensitivity of the rod tip. However, there are also such designs that respond to the tension of the fishing line - their sensitivity is more acceptable.

The higher the intensity of the luminescent substance, the longer and more effective the use of the bite indicator light. lovers night fishing it makes sense to purchase an indicator with the characteristics of a substance of 500-600 microlamberts.

swinger

One of the most popular species mechanical signaling devices is a swinger. Its mechanism consists of:

  • a plastic head with a clip through which the fishing line is pulled;
  • lever with a load;
  • swivel device for mounting on the rod stand bracket.

The tension of the fishing line is controlled by placing a load in one or another part of the lever. The closer the weight is to the head, the stronger the tension. The bite signal is determined visually, by the movement of the swinger's head.

Most often, swingers are used for bottom fishing and carp fishing.

The most popular bite alarms for carp fishing

Inexpensive device. It has 4 buttons, respectively adjusting: the volume and tone of the signal, sensitivity, as well as turning the device on / off. The body is rubberized, the food is the crown. When biting, in addition to the sound signal, a light signal is given (bright flashing).

Delkim

Delkim signaling devices are equipped with a pager with the ability to vibrate a bite signal, in addition, they are positioned as having a unique vibration transmitter for the tip of the rod and its equipment.

Some models, among other things, have the function of a digital FM transmitter with an "anti-theft" alarm and a test of communication quality. The ability to turn off the night light, control the battery charge, adjust the brightness of the light signal, the audio output is also not found in all modifications.

Kosada T4

The simplest device model. Switching on / off is done by turning the volume control all the way. In addition to adjusting the volume, it is possible to adjust the tone of the signal. The device has a waterproof housing, a protective case is included in the kit.

Carp Pro Flash

This signaling device differs from the previous described models in that it allows you to connect a swinger, which is especially valuable for carp fishing. In addition, it is equipped with an acoustic alarm, a memory of the previous bite, volume and tone control of the sound signal, and a delay in the glow of the indicators. The color of the light signal can be changed (4 lighting options). The device is enclosed in a waterproof housing, powered by a crown.

Winner

Button signaling device, powered by two 1.5-volt batteries. Equipped with functions to adjust the volume, tone, sensitivity, memory of the previous bite. There is a connector for connecting a swinger, the body is waterproof.

EOSC-9004

This set includes 4 alarms, each with separate volume, tone and sensitivity controls, 1 walkie-talkie and a case for storage and transport. The radius in which the signal operates is 200 m. There is a light indication and a connector for connecting a swinger.

Fox

The signaling devices of this company are equipped with a wide range of functions, various combinations of which are presented in each specific model:

  • the ability of the indicator light to notify the angler about the direction of movement of the pecked fish - from the shore or towards the shore, by means of flashing or a constant glow;
  • the ability to set a code for your signaling devices in order to avoid erroneous signal transmission to other people's pagers;
  • night illumination;
  • connector for connecting a swinger or transmitter;
  • pager distance test;
  • and a number of other standard features inherent in an electronic bite detection device.

In conclusion, we note once again that when fishing for carp, the best option would be to use two types of signaling device at the same time, mechanical and electronic. And the choice of the model of this device depends, first of all, on the individual requirements of a particular fisherman, as well as on his financial capabilities.

Fishing lovers often go fishing for an overnight stay. In this case, you have to look for fireflies, but it is not always possible to find. We offer you a simple but effective method self-manufacturing fireflies for feeder fishing.

So, we need:
- glue gun;
- children's;
- LEDs;
- 3 volt batteries;
- lighter;
- heat shrink;
- tubes for juice.

First of all, we select one tube and cut off a piece about 3-4 cm long.

Next, take hot glue and fill it with a cut piece of tube.

We take the LED and insert it into the tube with glue so that the legs of the light bulb peek out about half a centimeter. Set aside and wait for the glue to cool.

Next, take one battery and a heat shrink tube. Note that the handset must be selected according to the size of the battery. We insert the battery into the heat shrink and cut off approximately 2 cm.

We insert the battery deeper so that it is in the middle. Next, use a lighter to lightly heat the heat shrink so that you get a blank like the one shown in the figure below.

We insert the tube with the LED into the heat shrink so that the contacts are on the contacts of the battery.

Now we warm up the heat shrink well so that it fits snugly against the tube with the LED. According to the author of the idea, while heating the heat shrink, it is necessary to periodically shake the tube with the LED so that it does not stick.

If the heat shrink no longer narrows, as in the case of the author, you can go the other way and increase the diameter of the tube with the LED. You can do this with hot glue. It is important that all contacts remaining in the heat shrink are as tight as possible.

At the free end, simply glue a small piece of the tube. The firefly can be adjusted if the corrugated part of the tube is used at this stage.

At the end, we glue a hairpin on this piece of the tube.

Probably, every avid fisherman, sooner or later, slips the idea that it would be nice to have an assistant in your household, a small but observant one. Such an assistant is called a “bite signaling device”. But many do not just want to buy it - but to make a signaling device with their own hands. Today we will talk about what types of signaling devices are, how to make some of them.

The simplest bite signaling devices (principles of operation, manufacturing instructions):

Each fisherman has eyes, ears and hands to determine the bite. Due to its principle of operation, a mechanical signaling device is designed to inform the beginning of a bite through visual, acoustic or tactile contact.

Mechanical visual indicators

Nod. The simplest devices are the familiar float or rod tip (nod). These types of signaling devices are familiar to everyone. How to make a float and a nod yourself, or which one to buy, every fisherman knows.

Foil tube. Also, there are slightly other signaling devices, which are based on the principle of action on the oscillation of the fishing line. The simplest visual is a foil tube.

  1. Take aluminum foil and roll up the tube.
  2. After we put the tube on the main fishing line.
  3. You need to thread the line between the reel and the first ring on the rod - a sagging line is formed in this place.

As the bite begins, the sag of the fishing line decreases, we understand that the fish began to grab the bait. Aluminum foil is good because it shimmers in the sun (its movement is clearly visible), and also rustles while bouncing.

The disadvantage is that it is useless in the wind (the reason is the lightness of the material).

Mechanical acoustic signaling devices

Correct bell. Let's talk about a simple acoustic signaling device - these are bells. Our design is much better than purchased bells, since the bell flies off the tackle during hooking and does not interfere with the fight.

  1. We buy a bell, remove everything that hangs on it.
  2. We are looking for a rubber hose about three centimeters in diameter. We pay attention in the search to the fact that its walls are thin.
  3. On the hose we measure a piece one and a half centimeters in length.
  4. Cut off the measured ring and see what shape it has. If it is a circle, then we cut along one side anywhere, but if it is an oval, then we make a cut on one of the elongated sides.
  5. Now we need two nuts and a bolt. The size of the bolt is such that it fits into the ear of the bell.
  6. Now it is necessary to make a hole equal to the diameter of the bolt at one end of the cut rubber ring (it is better to drill at low speeds).
  7. We pass the bolt through the hole in the rubber ring (with the cap inside the ring). You will get a hook from a rubber ring, on one side of which a bolt protrudes.
  8. On the bolt we put on a piece of thick fishing line a meter long with a tightening loop.
  9. We tighten the loop.
  10. Now we put on the bell, press everything together and tighten it with a nut, then we wind the second nut in order to lock the first one.

We have a bell with a rubber hook. We hang on the fishing line closer to the tip of the rod. When cutting, the bell can fly off - in order not to lose it, we tie the free end of the fishing line on our structure to a peg in the ground.

This design is much better than cheap bells that are sold in stores. Since the signaling device flies off the rod. You do not irritate either yourself or nearby anglers. Also, don't spook the fish.

Electronic signaling devices

Thinking about the signaling device and evaluating its advantage, you want more from it. A mechanical signaling device requires mandatory control by the fisherman over its operation, that is, being near the rods all the time. What if you want more? Retreat for natural needs, cook food, just relax and stretch your legs, here an electronic signaling device comes to the rescue. It does not require constant presence near the rod and will report a bite with a visual (light bulb) or sound signal. On sale there are a sufficient number of types, types and models.

It can be divided conditionally into types:

  • visual
  • sound
  • combined

The principle of operation is just as simple - the fishing line passes through the slot, a small coil is in the slot, a signal is triggered when it moves.

So, we have described primitive mechanical signaling devices and briefly talked about factory electronic ones that are sold in the store. Now we will tell you how to make a more or less simple design of a mechanical signaling device, as well as how to assemble an electronic one yourself.

The device and manufacture of a simple side mechanical signaling device

We will need the following components:

  • Clip fastener for PVC pipes(used for fastening to a wall, ceiling or floor, the pipe itself snaps into it).
  • Steel (elastic) wire 20 cm long and 0.8 - 1 mm in diameter.
  • Nylon thread, waterproof glue, any paint for metal of "poisonous-bright" color (paint can be bought in spray cans) or self-adhesive film bright color.
  • A rod or tube (guide) 8-10 cm long. The diameter of the tube is such that it fits tightly into the side hole for the PVC pipe holder.

Step-by-step instruction

Let's start assembling our signaling device.

  1. We make a hole at the end of the tube or rod along the diameter of the wire.
  2. We bend the wire with an arc, measure 5 cm from one end and bend it 90 degrees outward from the inner bend of the arc.
  3. We pass the wire into the hole in the tube or rod. We will get the bent tip parallel along the guide.
  4. We coat the tip of the wire and the guide with glue and wrap it tightly with threads in several layers.
  5. Coat each layer with glue.
  6. As soon as it dries, you can either paint over this place or open it with varnish (for example, for nails), as an option, put a heat-shrink tube on the gluing place and plant it in diameter with a lighter.
  7. At the other end, we bend the hook for the plant of the main fishing line.
  8. We insert the guide into the pipe holder (it is better to put it on glue).
  9. We paint with “poisonous” paint or paste over with a bright film 5-7 centimeters of the tip of the holder from the side of the hook for the fishing line plant.
  10. We put on the handle of the rod after the reel. The wire arc should be on the side.
  11. We grab the ends of the holder with a dense elastic band (so as not to fly off). We hook the main fishing line after the reel to the hook on the wire arc.

When biting, the fishing line stretches and bends the arc. Focusing on the fluctuations of the bright tip of the arc, it is easy to determine the moment of bite.

Schemes of simple electronic bite alarms (principle of operation)

Option 1. A simple circuit of an electronic signaling device

The fishing line tension sensor is made from the contact group from the RPU-2 relay. It is only important to set the relay to open at the slightest movement of the fishing line, but this is done very easily during assembly.

Option 2. A simple circuit of a waiting sound and light signaling device

Very simple circuit. The sensor is based on the same RPU-2 relay or any other analogue. The fishing line is wound up behind the sensor and the SA1 connector is closed manually. As soon as the tension of the fishing line occurs during a bite, it will pass through the sensor and the chain will allow the speaker to signal a bite. You can also put an LED in parallel for light signaling.

Option 3. Electronic signaling device from a key fob with a melody

A very simple circuit and does not require additional description. The RPU-2 relay or its equivalent is still used.

Option 4. A more complex scheme of a waiting bite signaling device

To assemble an electronic signaling device, you need to have at least minimal design skills - which case to place, which system is better to come up with, the method of attachment, etc. This defines each constructor for itself. We will tell you about the very principle of operation of the electronic signaling device and its components. For assembly you will need:

  • A 3 volt battery (or several connected in series).
  • Contacts from a broken alarm clock or toy.
  • The reed switch is open, without a magnet.
  • Magnet (can be from the latch of a furniture latch).
  • LED or buzzer (or both for a combined signaling device).

Here is the most complete electronic sound signaling circuit.

The principle of operation of such a signaling device is as follows - when a magnet is brought to the reed switch (during a bite), the circuit closes and transmits electric current to the LED or the buzzer (or to both elements). There is a glow of the LED or a buzzer of a tweeter - notification of the beginning of a bite.

Such a scheme can be used, for example, in the above-described mechanical signaling device - improving it into an electronic, combined one. In this case, we need to bend the arc so that it is closer to the rod with the tip where the hook is located, through which the main fishing line passes. At this end of the arc, you need to strengthen the magnet, fix the batteries located inside some tube or box on the rod, the reed switch and the LED with a squeaker.

During the bite, the fishing line will stretch and bend the wire arc with the magnet, bringing it closer to the reed switch. The reed switch closes the circuit and supplies power to the LED and the buzzer. You can put a toggle switch in the circuit to turn the tweeter on and off at will, and then it will only work in the on position.

In order for the LED to always work, install the toggle switch in the circuit after the LED, so that the LED itself is not left without power in the off position. It turns out a wonderful signaling device.

Electronic signaling device Megatext and its principle of operation

The advantage of this design is that in the open state, our signaling device does not consume power from the elements at all. It can be used at any time of the day. If you need to move away, then you just need to turn on the squeaker and it will notify about the bite at a distance from the rod. In case of failure or discharging of the batteries, such a signaling device can also work in mechanical mode. It will be enough to remove the magnet and straighten the arc to the old position. Effective undercuts to you.

If a person has an ear for music, then he can easily determine which fishing rod worked with the help of a bell. They are easy to make on your own. To do this, you need a piece of metal pipe, where a tongue is placed inside, for which a bolt or nut is suitable. Mounting here will also be very simple. A clothespin works great for this.

Separately, it is worth highlighting the correct bell, which is distinguished by its fixation on the feeder. There are two mounting methods.

  1. Any household clamp is simple and effective method.
  2. Connecting a wire to a hook is the most reliable option.

A do-it-yourself bite sounder can be easily made using a bell. This option will be the most elementary. Bells have different tonality and vibration.

Mechanical signaling devices are divided into several types:

  • sensitive nod;
  • monkey;
  • swinger.

The method of constructing a nod has been described above. It can be a rod tip or a float. Its working principle is quite simple. So, when the fishing line is pulled, the nod begins to bend.

The monkey looks like a weight. It is also attached to the fishing line, and it is located among the reel and the input ring of the rod. The weight forms a sag in the line. The fish begins to peck and this sagging gradually decreases, due to which the monkey moves.

The swinger looks like a small plastic head with a clip. It is fixed on a lever with a weight. Thus, mechanical devices are very simple, which is why they are so easy to make with your own hands.

So, the fishing line must be passed through a special hole in the corresponding device where the wheel is located. It will rotate and signal when the line is pulled. The fisherman will receive a signal in the form of sound, vibration and light.

Why are such models in demand today? The fact is that it is impossible to move away from a mechanical weapon, since you can miss the necessary moment. However, it is not always possible to constantly monitor the rod. An electric beacon will do just fine with this.

He does not need constant presence. The stores have a wide selection of these products.

  • visual;
  • sound;
  • combined.

Of course, any angler is constantly improving his gear according to his own understanding and inclinations. At the same time, it is worth trying all types of signaling devices that were given above, which react differently to a bite. Thanks to this, fishing will become real creative process, even more exciting and interesting.

Their principle of operation is the closing and opening of electrical circuits. To make the simplest option, you need a few details. But it is important to follow some rules.

  1. The keychain, which is taken as the basis, must be with a certain melody.
  2. It is attached to the feeder, namely to its stand, but the contacts must be in a closed state.
  3. They are brought out as two plates.
  4. In the area where the coil and the first ring are located, a piece of plastic (thickness 1 mm) should be fixed.
  5. The second end must be inserted among the output contacts.

It should be understood that an important element for good luck fishing is the signaling device. If you get acquainted with all the rules for its manufacture, then you can quickly and easily build it with your own hands. Any model will be easy to use and effective.

The advantages of electronic signaling devices over mechanical ones are justified by the following provisions:

  • higher bite sensitivity than mechanical signaling devices;
  • quality work, all depending on weather conditions;
  • work at a distance, at a great distance;
  • the ability to configure different levels of the fishing line and its movements, which increases the quality of the cuts performed;
  • no need to peer into the water to see if it bites or not;
  • you do not need to listen to the ringing of the bell, which, as a rule, has a barely audible sound.

What are homemade signaling devices?

Take aluminum foil and roll up the tube. 2

After we put the tube on the main fishing line. 3

Now we will tell you how to make a more or less simple design of a mechanical signaling device, as well as how to assemble an electronic one yourself.

The device and manufacture of a simple side mechanical signaling device

We need the following accessories: Fasteners for PVC pipes (used for fastening to a wall, ceiling or floor, the pipe itself snaps into it). Steel (elastic) wire 20 cm long.

and a diameter of 0.8 - 1 mm. Nylon thread, waterproof glue, any paint for metal of a “poisonous-bright” color (paint can be bought in spray cans) or a self-adhesive film of a bright color.

A rod or tube (guide) 8-10 cm long. The diameter of the tube is such that it fits tightly into the side hole for the PVC pipe holder.

There are many types of this homemade device. Every experienced fisherman has his own.

Key requirements for electronic bite alarms

When buying an electronic signaling device, the fisherman must know such requirements that a high-quality signaling device must meet:

  1. The case must be made of reliable materials (metal or metal alloy). If the case is made of plastic, when you squeeze it you hear crackling sounds, then it is better not to buy such a signaling device.
  2. Also, the case must be waterproof, this is usually indicated in the product description.
  3. The sound of the signal should be quite loud so that it can be heard at a distance of several meters.
  4. The signaling device must have a built-in volume button. If the model has a regulator in the form of a roller, then it is less practical, since they often turn off the sound themselves.
  5. The presence of a sensitivity regulator is mandatory, because it will be able to distinguish the actual bite of the fish from water waves, small things, etc. .
  6. The line wheel on the model must not jam. This must be checked upon purchase.
  7. The audible warning signal should work even with a very weak touch.
  8. It is better not to buy a signaling device that runs on batteries. Give preference to models that run on batteries.

Homemade sound devices

A very simple circuit. The sensor is based on the same RPU-2 relay or any other analogue. The fishing line is wound up behind the sensor and the SA1 connector is closed manually. As soon as the tension of the fishing line occurs during a bite, it will pass through the sensor and the circuit will allow the dynamics to signal a bite. You can also put an LED in parallel for light signaling.

Option 3. Electronic signaling device from a key fob with a melody

A very simple circuit and does not require additional description. The RPU-2 relay or its equivalent is still used.

Option 4. A more complex scheme of a waiting bite signaling device

All devices that monitor the bite on the donk or fishing rod are divided into sound and visual. Some mechanical devices and modern electronic signaling devices can combine both methods of notification.

Most fishermen stop at visual indicators to determine bites.

Electronic bite alarms are divided into the following varieties:

  • visual;
  • sound;
  • combined

Visual annunciators

Visual indicators are the most common fishing floats or floats for fishing at night with built-in lights.

These alarms work on the following principle:

  1. the float is fixed on the fishing line;
  2. when it enters the water, it begins to balance on its surface;
  3. when a touch or any other movement is applied to the bait, the bobber will notify the fisherman of this.

In addition to the float, a “nod” is also considered a visual signaling device, which is fixed on a fishing rod or on a fishing line, in the gap between the reel and the first ring of the fishing rod.

Audible alarms

The simplest sound signaling device, which has been used by fishermen for decades, is a small bell, which, when caught, is attached to the end of a fishing rod or to a fishing line. Most often, the bell is used on spinning rods when casting over a long distance.

Combined signaling devices

Combined alarms are built-in audible and visual alarms that work together. Combined alarms are convenient in that if one of the bite alarms does not work, then it can always be replaced by another, and the bite will not be missed.

Electronic bite alarm

Electronic signaling device A bite for a rod is a special stand for a fishing rod, to which a special holder is attached.

This alarm works like this:

  1. The stand is installed on the shore near the water.
  2. A fishing rod with tackle is attached to this stand.
  3. The line from the tip of the rod is wound through a roller that controls all its movements.
  4. When the fish pecks, then along with this roller the shaft with a built-in gear moves, which is located under the light emitter that controls all movements.

These mechanisms are very efficient and can work in different modes. In addition, they allow you to classify the degree of fish biting and biting time, which is very practical.

Electronic bite alarm for feeder

This device is very similar in operation to a signaling device for fishing rods. The sound signal is provided as a result of the curvature of the infrared rays of the mechanism, a special wheel through which the fishing line is pulled.

Electronic biting indicators for the feeder are fixed at the very top of the fishing rod, and, as a rule, are used to catch carp fish species. The best time to use it is in the early morning when it is still sparkling and the fish are starting to feed. For such conditions, electronic signaling devices have working light indicators.

It is necessary to use the electronic signaling device correctly according to the following scheme of actions:

  1. place several fishing rods on the shore of the reservoir using a rod-under stand (you can use other types of stands, but this is the most convenient);
  2. attach the bite signaling device to the fishing rods;
  3. release the friction brake so that the fishing line can be fixed in the desired position;
  4. the length of the broach used mainly depends on the fishing conditions and wind direction;
  5. install a swinger between the rod and the reel so that the signal in too windy weather is extremely accurate.
  6. connect the power supply of the signaling device, and set it to the operating mode. At the first bite, the device will inform the fisherman about this.

The principle of operation of the signaling device looks like this:

  1. The fishing line is threaded through a special wheel, and makes it move when biting.
  2. These movements are fixed by a light emitter and transmitted through an audio signal.

The general scheme of operation is a bit like a computer mouse, because it also transmits a signal.

Most anglers use bottom tackle, which is distinguished by its catchability and simple design. But in order to effectively use donks, signaling devices are needed.

Even on self-securing rigs, the angler must react to the bite in time and carefully lead the fish into the landing net. On feeder rods, a flexible whip - a quiver-tip - serves as a sentry, by bending and fluctuations of which the bite of a fish is visible.

When fishing with other bottom gear, signaling devices are needed:

  • sound;
  • visual;
  • combined type.

Electronic signaling devices provide both audible and visual registration. When a fish bites, electronic signaling devices for donkey emit a sound signal, lights on them light up, creating a visual effect.

The principle of operation of the gatehouse for the donkey is based on the fact that at the time of the bite, the fishing line transmits vibrations of the equipment, fixed by the signaling device. The fish, having captured the nozzle, moves in an arbitrary direction. The signaling device for the donkey reacts to the pulls of the fishing line, regardless of their strength.

A powerful jerk is much more noticeable - it can be fixed by both a factory and a home-made device. big fish more often it bites cautiously, and it is important for the signaling device to be sensitive in order to fix such a bite.

Requirements for signaling devices for donkey:

  • high sensitivity;
  • simplicity of design;
  • water protection;
  • reasonable price.

Each angler chooses bite indication devices depending on:

  • fishing conditions;
  • own needs;
  • weather conditions;
  • estimated fish in the catch;
  • time of day.

At night, visual indicators are ineffective, even when illuminated. It is impossible to sit for several hours without taking your eyes off the rod, and if you get distracted, you will miss the bite. Therefore, at night, sound sensors are needed for the donkey. And if they also provide a visual effect, the return on such equipment is significantly increased.

The weight of the transducer is important, and this applies not only to the convenience of the angler. In strong winds, the lightweight design will show false bites, and the meaning of the device itself is tripled.

It is not difficult to buy a signaling device; models are sold in stores, both for summer and for winter fishing. But quality gear doesn't come cheap. Therefore, many anglers prefer to make their own sensors from improvised materials, it is both cheaper and takes a little time.

Do-it-yourself bite alarm

The most common homemade donkey gatehouses are:

  • pendulum type;
  • nod type.

A homemade universal signaling device for donks is mounted on a fishing line and attached to the rod rings. When a fish bites, the tackle, which is in a taut state, changes its position in the water, and the fishing line shifts, transmitting vibrations to the gatehouse.

The advantage of such a signaling device is that it is attached to the rod and remains hanging on its ring during hooking. However, the angler needs to keep an eye on the bottom tackle with a hand-made pendulum bottom sensor in order to make the hooking in time.

The easiest way

To make the simplest pendulum tracking sensor for a donkey, you will need:

  • a piece of aluminum or copper wire 20–25 cm long;
  • 2 cambric with a diameter slightly larger than the diameter of the wire section;
  • lead weight with a ring;
  • pliers.

The procedure for making a homemade tracking sensor for a donkey:

  1. put the load on the wire and fix it in the middle by twisting the wire into a ring;
  2. put cambric on the wire;
  3. bend the ends of the wire into rings and fix them with cambric.

Mounting on the bottom:

  • move the cambric and hook the wire ring on the bottom ring of the rod;
  • fix the gatehouse with a cambric;
  • move the second cambric and put the ring on the fishing line;
  • fix the ring with a cambric.

Due to the load, a home-made signaling device will pull the fishing line, and when biting, transmit a signal about this, moving in a vertical direction.

After fishing, the bite indicator is removed from the line and stored in the tackle box. The manufacture of such a device will take 5-7 minutes, it is convenient to transport and operate.

Pendulum signaling device

Homemade pendulum signaling devices are attached to a stretched fishing line of a rod and, when biting, make movements similar to the movements of a pendulum.

The simplest pendulum gatehouse consists of:

  • bell;
  • rubber stopper or a rectangular piece of foam rubber.

To make such a device, you need:

  1. cut a piece of rubber in the shape of a parallelepiped, 5 × 2 × 1 cm in size;
  2. insert a bell ring from the end of the rubber and fix it with wire or thread;
  3. on the opposite end of the rubber, make an incision with a blade to fix the sensor on the fishing line of the rod.

After casting the tackle, the rod is placed on a stand, and the guard is attached to the line below the last ring of the rod. Due to the weight of the indicator, tension is created on the line, when biting, it begins to move in a horizontal plane, warning the angler about the need for hooking.

After hooking, the signaling device flies off the line, without creating problems when playing the caught fish. In order not to look for the flying guard in the grass, a piece of thin rope or fishing line is attached to the elastic band, which clings to the rod stand with the other end.

Kinder bite alarm

The simplest wire donkey alarm can be improved with a plastic case from a Kinder Surprise toy. It needs to be fixed on a fishing line instead of a lead weight, which will make it possible to adjust the weight of the weighting agent.

In strong winds, pendulum signaling devices for donkeys turn out to be ineffective due to false alarms. It is necessary to make the load heavier, and for this, additional lead loads are placed in the body from the Kinder Surprise.

A lighter sensor is more sensitive, but if the weather calls for it, it's better to make it heavier to provide the necessary comfort.

In order for the signaling device for the donkey from Kinder Surprise to work when the fish bite towards the shore, you need to tighten the main fishing line more and put a load of at least 20 grams.

Electronic indicators for donkeys have serious advantages over other similar accessories:

  • are highly sensitive;
  • do not register false bites;
  • fix bites towards the shore;
  • allow the angler to be distracted from the tackle;
  • Easily mounted on racks or rod pods.

The high cost of donkey electronic devices, with active use, quickly pays off. Now in stores there are electronic devices made in China with fastening directly to the rod.

To install such a sensor on a tackle, you do not need a rod-pod or stand, it is fixed on the form and does not require any additional devices. Independently, an electronic device will be able to be made by those who know how to hold a soldering iron in their hands and are able to distinguish a resistor from a microcircuit.

For this you need:

  • small plastic alarm clock;
  • resistor;
  • piece of hard steel wire 25-30 cm.

Production order:

  1. the extreme contacts of the resistor are soldered together;
  2. the middle contact of the resistor is attached with a wire to the alarm clock board;
  3. the resistor is attached to the alarm clock body with glue;
  4. holes are made with an awl in the case opposite the resistor hole;
  5. a nod with a curved tip is made from the wire for attaching the fishing line;
  6. a nod of wire is rigidly attached to the hole in the housing (resistor).

Such a device is attached to the blank of the rod with adhesive tape, the tackle is thrown, the whip is installed on the rack. The fishing line should be tight, a nod is fixed on it, and the guard is ready for use.

Donkey buzzers are necessary when the angler needs to take his mind off the process, or when several rods are used. Thanks to the sound indication, you can fully control the process and respond in a timely manner to a possible bite of the fish.

The simplest example of a sound indicator of a bite is a bell with an elastic band, the design of which was discussed above. Anglers also use bells or rattles, which are attached to the donkey whip with a clothespin and, when it vibrates, make a loud and melodic sound.

Sound sensors are also effective at night, but it is desirable that there be also a light indication. Ball bells have a special hole for a fishing firefly that can signal rod swings during night fishing.

A few years ago, anglers invented various designs of light indicators on LEDs or fireflies, but now there is no such need. Chinese LED devices for registering bites are quite inexpensive, you don’t need to invent something, it’s easier to buy a ready-made accessory.

When fishing on donks, indicators play a big role. After all, several donoks are most often used, and without additional funds indication of fish bite, it is very difficult to manage.
