Water Lantern Festival
To the sounds of the saxophone and violin, the festival participants will lower their lanterns onto the surface of the park pond. On the one hand, you can make a wish and hope that it will come true, on the other hand, you can strive for a Russian record in the discipline "water lanterns". Lanterns will be of two options - in the shape of a lotus and in the shape of a cube. The lotus, of course, is for romantics and esotericists, and the cube is for sober materialists, each face of the cube is like a field for recording desires. The action will be accompanied by artists of laser and fire shows, they will paint the twilight sky of St. Petersburg with spectacular patterns. Also, it will work hotline sms messages.

1945 fashion show
The fifth time takes place in St. Petersburg "Fashion Show 1945", it has become a traditional city event. The idea of the project belongs to Megan Virtanen, fashion historian and lecturer St. Petersburg State University. Every year, the retro show gathers more and more participants and spectators: if only twenty-two girls took part in the first show, then in 2015 there were already fifty-three participants in the post-war fashion show. Any girl can become a model, you just need to get into the image - not only a costume, but also a hairstyle, makeup, accessories, shoes. It's time to get grandmother's outfits out of the chests. This year, the models will walk along the alleys of the Summer Garden, dried after a long winter, to the sounds of an accordion, as in the forties.
"New Universe", master class
Famous Petersburg artist Lera Matveeva-Nibiru and the young participants together will create a new universe on a large sheet of paper and try to equip it, populate it - in a word, come up with a new life.
This will be most interesting, of course, for children from four to ten years old, but there are no strict age restrictions in either direction.
To build the universe without looking back, come in clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
Lera Matveeva-Nibiru deals with graphics, object, installation. The main themes of her work are childhood dreams, visions, transitions from one state to another, the pseudonym Nibiru means a mythical planet. The artist has twelve solo exhibitions in Russia and abroad, her works are in museum collections and private collections in Russia and France.

"Rio Rita" - the joy of Victory", art project
legendary song "Rio Rita" Spanish composer Enrique Santeughini wrote for the Berlin club "Rio Rita" in 1937. In the USSR, this song was primarily associated with rare wartime parties. Its melody became the leitmotif of Pyotr Todorovsky's film "Military Field Romance" and gave its name to a new art project, the purpose of which was to try to create that unforgettable holiday atmosphere that reigned in Leningrad after the victory.
People of all ages, professions and views will be united, as before, by music. For a few hours, Yekateringof Park will turn into a grandiose dance floor, and military brass bands of the city will play incendiary dance melodies of the 1940s on impromptu venues. Authentic 1945 dress code welcome. Dresses, hats, red lipstick, perfume - at least a few touches to the portrait of that time, and - it's time to dance!

On display is a series of photographs by an American photographer Jordan Matter made in the night streets New York, Chicago, Amsterdam, London, Paris. Photo models are ballet dancers who have thrown off their clothes and demonstrated the plasticity of their bodies. The police tried to stop the performers about forty times, but the ballet dancers managed to work out all the poses they had planned, and it turned out to be an impressive spectacle. In honor of the 71st anniversary Great Victory On May 9, 2016, the Russian Museum invites veterans and participants of the Great Patriotic War, residents and defenders of besieged Leningrad, home front workers, as well as all residents and guests of the city to festive events in Mikhailovsky and summer gardens.
The festive program in the Mikhailovsky Garden will be held with the support of the North-West Bank of the Savings Bank of Russia. Guests will enjoy a traditional concert, performances by dance and music groups, an impromptu dance floor where favorite songs of the war years will be played. Everyone will be able to try their hand at the Victory Strategy chess tournament and on the sports ground, fulfilling the TRP standards, as well as participate in a master class of an art studio on a military-patriotic theme and watch a historical reconstruction. The festive events will begin at 12.00 with a minute of silence in memory of those who defended our city, who died during the blockade and on the battlefields.
Guests of the Summer Garden will enjoy a musical theatrical program, performances by the orchestra of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and a theatrical performance from the Peterhof Children's and Youth Center dedicated to the Great Patriotic War.
In memory of the events of the war years, the space of the Summer Garden will become a place of immersion in the heroic past of our country.

Everyone can be on the legendary ice track - the Road of Life, wearing special 3D glasses. Thanks to an incredible combination of augmented and virtual reality, as well as the use of special devices, visitors will feel like they are direct participants in the construction and heroic defense of the Road of Life. The animation will be complemented by a multilingual audio guide and a historical chronicle in 3D format. The project was prepared by GBUK LO "MMK "Road of Life".
On the Central Alley, you can also see an exhibition of children's drawings on a military theme, prepared by the GBUK "Road of Life"
The Coffee House will host a theatrical performance on a military theme from the association of St. Petersburg actors, filmmakers, artists and writers (Coffee House). The program will include:
