Cases are known when Rocket III with only one fifth gear, as if nothing had happened, he overcame up to 1500 km. Any repair of the checkpoint at the "Rockets" is associated with the almost complete disassembly of the motorcycle and the removal / installation of the internal combustion engine. Until 2014, 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears are limited to 7% power by the second row of throttles. The restriction is removed by software.

There are usually no problems with the starter, but there are troubles with the ignition switch on the early Rockets (up to and including 2010). The problem is fixed by unloading the ignition switch. An additional relay is installed, which takes the start signal from the starter button, the power cable is pulled directly from the battery. The lubrication system is reliable. In rare cases, the valve in the oil tank may lose its tightness, causing the oil to completely drain into the sump. There have also been cases of oil leaking through the nozzle, which cools the clutch. The result is the same - the oil flows into the sump. Cold start of the engine with such a malfunction is quite problematic at near-zero outboard temperatures. The starter simply does not have enough effort to turn the crankshaft and gears of the box, completely filled with oil. It is treated by replacing what failed. Removal / installation of the internal combustion engine is not required.

A noticeable weak spot in the electrics is the throttle position sensor ( TPS sensor). The first sign of his death is the disappearance or overestimation of idle speed. Treated with calibration. If the motorcycle is used infrequently, there may be problems with the rear gear drive. Corrosion may occur on the splines of the cardan-gearbox connection due to dried grease. Early (before 2007) Triumph Rocket III due to an assembly error, the final drive support bearing was pressed in the wrong way. Hence the difficulty with lubrication. The braking system is very mediocre. With all the efforts of engineers, it does not differ in any special efficiency. The discs, of course, are large, but the calipers are no good. Similar mechanisms are usually used on medium-sized road bikes. Replacing the calipers with more productive ones does not give much effect. You can't fool physics! The harder the calipers bite into the discs, the sooner the tires give up. Emergency braking usually translates into either a squeal of rubber or a crackling anti-lock system.

The running system of the "Rockets" is more designed for quiet movement on relatively smooth asphalt. Tuning in the form of progressive coil springs for the front fork and thicker oil may be required only in cases where the motorcycle is used not as a cruiser, but as a large sportbike. Rear shocks on early Triumph Rockets III very tough, owners often replace them with similar parts from more recent motorcycles or tuning.



At first, there were big problems with the diagnostic equipment for the Triumph Rocket 3. Hardware and software had to be ordered from England under the VIN number of a particular motorcycle. 3) The player starts to hit the ball with a high probability. Sometimes the second item falls out of sequence and it turns out that the ball is touched, but it flies very slowly (aka "sluggish ball"). It's not very good.

4) It suddenly turns out that just hitting the ball is not the most effective activity, since you can suddenly spoil everything, and you have to think where you hit. Here, a super-diagram comes to the rescue about in which directions it is normal to hit the ball, and in which it is bad.

It looks confusing, but in short - you are a right team player, if you hit the ball from any number to the arrow next to it, then you are an idiot if this arrow is red.

To sum it up, the basics = the player moves fast and actively, always has boost, and kicks the ball towards the enemy goal so that the ball goes fast, and hits the ball (and sometimes the goal) well. Usually this is enough for your teammates to trust you and not rush to take the ball from you because of your uselessness.

Timplay (team game in Rocket League)

After mastering the basic skills, it usually suddenly turns out that the game is a team game and everything is very difficult in 3x3, everyone gets confused and gets in the way.

In fact, the teamplay formula for playing without communication is very simple.

Defense play in Rocket League

As soon as it becomes clear that the attack has bogged down, the enemies have intercepted the ball and you won’t be able to take it away, we turn around and drive on the boost / somersaults into our own goal, collecting the boost along the way.

Enemies bring the ball to the wall/corner/gate area and everyone starts to blunt and flounder.

And here is the magic scheme - if you are standing in the goal and see on the screen next to the ball (or with you) your ally or two, you remain in the goal. The allies will go in turn to knock the ball out of the corner. If after this iteration the ball is still in the corner (i.e. the allies screwed up and didn't hit), you go to hit, and immediately after the failure, you return to the goal and the cycle repeats.

If you shorten the wording, you get something like: "whoever is closest to the ball - knocks out, who is second - covers / helps the first, who is the last - the goalkeeper and waits for his turn, and who could not knock out, returns to the goal."

If everyone follows this pattern, then we get a cycle of cars, where always one player makes a clear, the second prepares to hit in case the first misses, and the third covers the worst outcome (the ball into the goal). It sounds complicated at first, but gradually even with randoms in matchmaking everything works by itself in this way.

Assault in Rocket League

The enemies screwed up with the attack, we took the ball away and are leading to the enemy half.

Immediately a magical scheme - if you see that there are two allies in front of you on the screen, you do not go to break in with them, but stay behind in the midfield, and break in only when one of the allies has returned back.

If you are first to the ball and there are no allies on the screen, your task is to push the ball through until it either flies, or centers, or until you are out of position.

If you went first and screwed up, come back for a midfield boost (you can hit the enemy goalkeeper along the way if you screwed up around the corner and the team scores), recalibrate and see which of the schemes to use next (whether they took the ball from you and rush to gate, or the attack continues there).

Again, in short: “the first to the ball - pushes through and buzzes in every possible way, the second - a little behind / in the center in case of a pass, loss of the ball or centering, the third - far behind in case of a strong kick into your goal, and whoever screwed up - returns."

Proper camera and button settings in Rocket League

Regarding the choice of cars - all hitboxes are rectangular boxes, but they differ slightly in height. In visual terms, flat cars are a little more convenient when flying, convex cars - when dribbling on the ground. Ball control techniques and play in Rocket League
