Spring washer. Grover spring washer Grover washer GOST 6402 70 designation

GOST 6402-70- spring washer (Grover's washer). It is used in conjunction with bolts, self-tapping screws, studs, and other products to increase the pressure zone on the pressed object and avoid unscrewing the threaded connections.

Washer GOST 6402 70 is made of carbon steel, stainless steel A2 and A4, brass, aluminum.

Has two versions. Spring washers GOST 6402-70 Version 1 have straight edges, and version 2 - curved.

Analogues and compliance with other standards

3. RULES OF ACCEPTANCE AND METHODS OF CONTROL

* On the territory of the Russian Federation, GOST R 50779.71-99 applies.

3.2. From each batch presented for delivery, pucks are selected for verification:

a) appearance;

b) sizes;

c) hardness;

d) viscosity;

e) springy properties;

e) coating quality.

3.1, 3.2.(Revised edition, Rev. No. 3).

3.3. The appearance of the washers is checked by inspection with the naked eye or using a magnifying glass 2.5 - 3 times.

(Revised edition, Rev. No. 2).

3.4. The dimensions of the washers are checked with a universal measuring tool or gauges certified together with measurement methods in the manner prescribed by GOST 8.010-90 **.

** On the territory of the Russian Federation, GOST R 8.563-96 applies.

3.5. Determination of hardness - according to GOST 9013-59. The distance from the center of the imprint to the edge of the washer should be equal to half the size " V". The hardness of washers with nominal diameters from 2 to 5 mm is not controlled. For washers with V< 6 мм допускаются заниженные на 10 % значения твердости, при условии выполнения требований пп. 2.10 и 2.11.

3.6. For viscosity testing, the washer is clamped at one end in a vice, the other end is bent with an adjustable wrench or a lever with a slot in the direction of increasing dimensions. h 1 And h 2 (hell 2, 3, 4). During the test, the dimension must be maintained h between the vise jaws and the wrench, equal to 0.5 ( d + 2c).

3.7. The test of the spring properties of the washers is carried out in the following order:

a) the washers are compressed three times to a flat state;

b) spring washers, at least 10 pieces, separated from each other by flat washers, are put on the bolt shaft of the corresponding diameter and tightened with a nut until the separated ends of the washers are completely compressed.

In this state, the washers are kept for 24 hours.

3.8. Methods for checking the quality of coatings - according to GOST 9.302-88.

3.4-3.8.(Revised edition, Rev. No. 3).

3.9. Each batch of washers must be accompanied by a quality document in the prescribed form indicating:

manufacturer's name or trademark,

symbol of washers,

test results,

batch net, kg.

(Introduced additionally, Rev. No. 3).

Spring washer GOST 6402-70- the configuration of the hardware is an open ring with distortion - the only coil of the spring, the gap is opposite to the direction of tightening the nut. It is used in detachable threaded connections together with bolts, screws, nuts, studs.

A spring washer (another name for “grover”) is in demand for the most part, in the engineering industry, automotive industry, construction, industry - everywhere in joints that experience strong dynamic loads. Often used for domestic purposes.

For production, various grades of steel are used - carbon, stainless, for example, 65G, 70, 30X13 (spring steels).

Bronze and other non-ferrous metal alloys are used less frequently.
Coating with zinc or cadmium improves the performance of hardware. For non-aggressive environments it is permissible to use uncoated.
The basic requirement for these hardware is that the hardness index must be from 40 HRC and above, bronze products - at least 90 HRB.

WASHER GROVER - principle of operation, production options

Grover's washer is unacceptable, according to GOST 27017, the name of a single-turn spring washer GOST 6402-70, but has long firmly taken its place. English engineer William Grover invented the new kind fasteners on the wave of rapid growth of various inventions of the 19th century. The result of loads and vibrations that were incredible for the mechanics of that time was a problem that was later called "fatigue failure". Connections secured with conventional threaded fasteners were loosened.
Grover's invention withstands shock loads while acting as a stopper. The principle of operation lies in the operation of an elementary law of physics - in the direct course (screwing), the movement of the threaded fastener is unhindered, in the opposite course (unscrewing) - the sharp edge "rests", blocking the movement due to the friction force.
This hardware is chosen with a diameter slightly larger than the diameter of the bolt or screw. Grover is located between the nut and the mounting surface or flat washer, or under the head of a bolt or screw. Thus, threaded connections become durable and safe for a long time.
Standard 6402-70 defines four types:
H - normal - square cross-section;
T - heavy - also with a square section;
OT - extra heavy - with a square cross section;
L - light - in this type, the cross section is a rectangle.

Reading the notation:

Washer 2 12L 65G 016 GOST 6402-70
Execution 2 is indicated in the formula (version 1 is not indicated in any way),
12 - for a bolt, screw or stud of the specified diameter,
L - light, steel 65G,
galvanized (01), coating thickness 6 µm.

Production of grover washers GOST 6402-70 in our company is certified according to the requirements of ISO 9001 - the quality of all types of manufactured hardware is guaranteed. As a standard, we check all the parameters of each batch: appearance, dimensions, hardness, viscosity, spring properties, coating quality. The price for GOST 6402-70 washers is determined by the material used, the type of coating and the volume of the order.
