How to get into a football boarding school. How can a simple boy get into the best football clubs in the country? Branches of the FC Krasnodar Academy

Thousands of young guys have gone through the Nike scouting programs looking for non-professional footballers around the world. Many, like an ex-Spartacist Majid Waris, with their help got into big football clubs. The first Russian to sign a professional contract after training at the Nike Academy was the 19-year-old Maxim Boychuk, who had never before been involved in football schools. In an interview with "Championship" immediately after signing a contract with the Nalchik "Spartak" from the FNL, Maxim talks about his path: from a box in Balabanovo to getting into a professional team.

“To compete with Ronaldo? No problem!"

Russian resident of the Nike Academy in England Maxim Boychuk shared his impressions of life in one of the best football schools.

“In KFK, the salary was 10-15 thousand rubles, but they didn’t pay it either”

I just played football on the street, I didn’t play in any sections, - Boychuk explains. - Already at the age of 11 he began to play for his hometown Balabanovo, and three years later he moved to Obninsk, where he ended up in Kvant from KFK. At first, he did not take football very seriously.

- But did you pay money to KFK?
- They should have, but in the end for a year and a half I never saw a salary. Although Kvant had a salary of 10 to 15 thousand rubles, there were no bonuses.

How did your parents feel about football?
- My father, a reserve officer, did not perceive football at all before. He wanted me to follow in his footsteps, to the Syzran Higher Military aviation school pilots. My older brother also graduated from it. If not for football, I would have ended up there too.

- Then you participated in several Nike Most Wanted tournaments.
- A friend told me about it. I didn’t get to the first tournament, “The Battle of Two Capitals”, because of my age, I was only 15. The next year I participated in two at once - “Rebels of the Boxes” and “Ice Kings”.

- How did you get to Moscow from Balabanovo?
- We got on the very first train at 5:30, two hours later we were in Moscow. We returned home around 2 am. And so for three days in a row.

- Not in vain?
- At the first tournament, we got into the top 40: we didn’t leave the site for almost an hour, we caught the courage. But in the final part of the Box Rebels they did not win a single match.

"Fields at the base of the England national team are space, there is no such thing in KFC"

- But after the second tournament you were invited to the football academy in England.
- It came as a surprise to me. Four teams made it to the Ice Kings finals, and we came in fifth. We left home upset - after all, two the best players, who will go to England, had to choose from the finalists. But a week later, Nike called me and said that I was going to the academy. Preparation began immediately.

- How?
- He himself was engaged in physical form: horizontal bar, bars. I ran along the hills of the local Balabanov forest, called Stradalovka. In his "Quantum" went to training. I went to Moscow to get a visa, and two months later we flew to the academy.

- Do you remember the main impression?
- Gorgeous conditions: hotels, food, swimming pools, gym ... Everything is at the highest level. The fields are excellent, I have not seen anything like this in KFK. Once they only played with Kvant against CSKA in Vatutinki, in two matches he scored three goals for the army team.

- How long did the selection in England last?
- Three days of hard training. Now the selection rules have changed a lot: two years ago we had a lot of strength exercises, now the guys work more with the ball. The most infernal exercise at that selection is the yo-yo. The chip is located at a distance of 20 meters from each other, next to each is a speaker. When he squeaks, you need to run to the chip and back, and so on until you run out of strength. Then I managed to do 17 approaches, now mine best result - 32.

“Mom barely had time to take the money from the institute”

- What happened next?
- We had a game with the academy team, I even scored a goal. But at the meeting at the end of the third day, the list of players remaining in England was announced, and I did not hear my last name. I left upset, tried to apply to the naval school in St. Petersburg, but sprained my back and did not pass physical education. As a result, I decided to enter the Institute of Education and Science in Obninsk, so as not to get into the army. There I was already entered into the database, we paid the money, and then, a month after the selection, a call ...

- From the academy?
- Yes, mom barely had time to pick up the money! Of course, I had a premonition that this could happen, but I had no idea that I was in the reserves and that the coaches really liked me! And there were almost no such cases.

- With whom was your first game for the academy?
- A few days after that call, we played with the PSG double in France. Now half of that squad is regularly playing for the first team, the same central defender Presnel Kimpebe, who made his Champions League debut yesterday against Barcelona. I came on as a substitute and played 15 minutes.

- Do such games often happen?
- Nike Academy plays once a week: played against Liverpool, Galatasaray, Leicester, Norwich, Corinthians, Brugge. In general, I would not say that the level of football players from the academies of top clubs is higher than that of the Nike Academy team players. It's just that the guys there have been playing together for two or three years and understand each other perfectly, while our line-up was updated every six months. During the season, 11 guys signed professional contracts: Leicester took someone, someone went home to Sydney or Prague.

- Are the training sessions as hard as at the preselection?
- John Goodman, our Main coach, is a very understanding and open person. It is very important that he was a striker himself, so he worked with me a lot. There were four training days out of seven at the academy: we worked on physics, on game components, and on tactics. We lived near Birmingham, and trained at the base of the England team.

- Did the language barrier interfere a lot?
- At first, I didn’t understand almost anyone, I could only roughly grasp what the coaches were explaining, so it was hard. But he quickly got used to it, largely thanks to the phrasebooks that his parents gave him on the road.

How to get into the English Football Academy in Moscow

22 young amateur football players from all over Russia passed the selection and showed themselves to the RFPL clubs. Now residents of Moscow will have such an opportunity.

“At first it was hard in Nalchik - I wasn’t used to running so many crosses”

In October, you returned to Russia as the captain of the Nike Academy to play against the K11 team. Was it a one-time event or were you a "captain" before that?
- It was extremely pleasant: my parents finally got acquainted with my coaches from the academy, looked at my game live. Otkritie Arena is the coolest stadium I've ever played in! By the way, I was already the captain in two matches in England.

- Didn't K11 players ask you not to score before the match at Otkritie?
- More as requested, everyone! But a game is a game.

- So you decided to shoot a penalty?
- There was a player in our team who wanted to shoot a penalty kick for a very long time, but even he took the ball and gave it to me. Did you hit it with a “panenka”? Somehow it came out...

- After the match with K11, did you have offers from professional clubs?
- I was invited by several clubs from the FNL, and I chose Spartak Nalchik, which now has some problems with forwards - the main forward was injured, the second continues to recover. As it turned out, my coaches new team We watched the recording of the game with K11 and some of my other matches, for example with Leicester.

- Is there a difference with the academy in training?
- Here the players are older, so it's a bit unusual. The first days were very hard: I was not used to running so many crosses. In England, too, it was hard, but not so often. However, over time I got used to it.

- Have you managed to prove yourself in the new team?
- Back in Russia, I played 90 minutes against Alania on a snowy field - a rarity for Nalchik. And yesterday he went out for 15 minutes against Zenit-2 in the FNL Cup. Now I am waiting for my debut in official matches, I hope I will be able to play in the opening round after the winter break against Dynamo.
